Classic Brooklyn experience
Food is abundant, but so are the prices. Maybe because you are a half a block away from the center of the universe.
My mom and I shared a corned beef sandwich and chicken pot pie. Chicken pot pie was delicious. Corned beef - not so much. Very, very thick slices and chewy. Left most of it on the plate. Service was excellent. Desserts were terrific.
a great place to bring the grand kids
Brooklyn Diner in Times Square is a good spot for a bite before the show. Menu was limited and priced mostly $20 per main entree, that most assuredly consisted of corned beef or pastrami. Hot dogs were the same and a side of fries were in the area of over five. Corned Beef was very lean and good, my guest had the Asian Chicken Salad that was very tasty. I would recommend for location, should you like a quick meal before a matinee.
Glad I booked a reservation, made it easy to seat quickly. We were early and they accommodated us during busy lunch. Will be back for evening dinner sometime.
A very nice Broadway find! - Very gracious Hosts, however, although the Wait Staff was nice they were quite inattentive and not on their game. - The egg creams were a wonderful treat and the food was excellent!
Sure it's touristy, but I've never had a meal here that wasn't outstanding. Very fine food. Friendly service. Good value. Great pizza with ultra-thin crispy crust. Pastrami and corned beef much better than at some of the big-name delis. One of the best classic NY cheesecakes I've had. What's not to like?
Great experience here. It isn't a diner as you expect from the name. It is more upscale. Great food, service, and desserts. Just off of Times Square.
