The food was very bland. I got a burger and it was too think and very dry. The fries good have been a bit hotter. They really squeeze the tables together. The burger was almost 20 dollars. Much better restaurants in NYC
veggie burgers were said to be "gone off," so chef unable to offer them! Establishment needs to check their foods regularly for freshness.
Food was okay. We bought two dishes that were $30 each. The steak dish came with fries only, no bread or salad. The pasta, which was called macaroni and cheese, ended up being an alfredo (though the pastrami in it was different) and it didn't come with anything. I have never been to any restaurant that didn't serve at least bread or salad with a pasta. Also, the plate was covered with a layer of grease. I was pretty disappointed because this restaurant came with great recommendations.
Way too expensive - no "kids" menu. Will never go again
The title tells it all. $20 each for a hamburger and a sandwich.
just a regular menu with fancy descriptions... fried polenta was surprisingly good...
nice waiter cold food (mozzarella balls and french fries) long wait after ordering food ran out of pastrami (?) clean nice atmosphere
i've been to the Brooklyn Diner (in Times Square) many times before -- have always enjoyed it as a place to eat before a Broadway show. And I usually get the lobster roll. This past Saturday, I went and ordered the roll -- the lobster was totally dried out. It was pretty awful. And my basket of fries had lots of pieces that were as short as half an inch -- little stubs of fries. I should have complained but had an out of town guest and didn't want to make a scene.
Wanted to get a quick bite to eat before a broadway play. We chose the Broadway Diner but were disappointed. The service was good but it did not make up for the overpriced food which was fair at best.
