We arrived with ample time to make a 3:00pm show. We waited a long time to place our order and even longer to receive it. The food was inedible. We were surprised because previous visits were very satisfactory. Of course, then we had to rush to get to the show......not a very enjoyable beginning to what was supposed to be a fun day.

First of all they shouldn't be able to call themselves a diner. By definition a diner serves breakfast 24/7. This restaurant serves breakfast only until 11:30 am. Secondly, while the food is tasty and well prepared, the prices are outrageously high. We paid $22.50 for one chicken pot pie and $19.95 for a turkey sandwich. The menu is rather limited as well. Unless you don't mind spending $75 for lunch for 2 people, stay away.

I was not happy with the choices on the menu. It was very limited for a diner. Went to a diner because thought there would be a large menu. Menu was very small. Also, the prices were ridiculously overpriced for the food that our party had.

We went for a quick bite before a play. We ordered their signature chicken soup, which took forever to arrive (why.?). At $12.50 a bowl, we expected perfection. It was just okay, served with two generous slabs of dry challah toast. Their noodle kugel was good.

All others stay away, unless you have a burning desire to spend $21 on a foot long hot dog with "plastic" Inedible skin. Ok so the shakes are good, but you can get that anywhere. Location is good right in the heart of the Times Square action.

Change the name. Brooklyn diner is misleading. While I'm used to city prices, $21.00 for a six year old to have a burger is nuts. You are right in the middle of one of the best known tourist areas, Times Square and the Theater District. No kids menu means crazy prices for a burger on your lunch menu. How about just putting up a sign that says not recommended for families, NO KIDS MENU. The $21.00 burger was on the lunch menu....never got to see the dinner menu and never will. For those prices I'll spend whatever I need to an... read more
