This top notch team could not save my dog, but they tried. Too much damage had already been done. Dr. Turkell could not be smarter nor kinder. And I have no words for Anthony, for the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, technician. To say he went above and beyond for me and my dog, is a gross understatement. I have been taking my dogs to Calusa for 15+ years and they are the best at what they do. My fur baby Lola is a 17 1/2 year-old Shih Tzu poodle mix and recently needed a dental cleaning. Her doctor, Dr. Turkell has always taken the best care of her and knows exactly how to make sure she gets everything she needs. As he told me when I brought her in age is not a disease. I just left Calusa after my 2 Golden Retrievers had their Wellness Visit. The technician who took care of us was Elizabeth,,,,first time I'd met her. She was amazing,,,, compassionate, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I highly recommend Calusa Veterinary Center for all your vet needs.

PSA: SAVE CALUSA VET'S PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS INTO YOUR PHONE AND LOVED ONES PHONES ASAP!! Though we pray our furry babies will never need emergency care, it is our duty to be prepared for the unexpected with a trusted veterinary center. Dr. Soucy, the nurse, and their team all worked diligently to stabilize my baby. The care, knowledge, support and confidence from all of them was nearly tangible. I have heard some pretty good things about Lucia. They come highly recommended to people I've heard about them for years. I have been in there once but spoken to them. They are very kind and very professional towards me when I came in with my golden doodle came in last year met one of the doctors kind of forgot the names but they were very professional and very welcoming. You guys do a great job with your customers. I hear a lot of good things otherwise

10/10 Recommend! My baby has gotten excellent care here for 3 years now. I especially want to shout out Amanda, Curtis and Dr Fryer, for the care rendered my baby Thanksgiving Day 2024. After limping all night, we woke up and baby could not even walk. Went to Calusa, he was treated right away and we left with enough time to make it to Orlando in time for Thanksgiving dinner (pain meds kicked in for the whole ride)! I brought in my toy poodle on a Sunday afternoon and was assisted by Michelle first over the phone who was very helpful. Curtis then took a look at my dog to assess the situation and made me feel like I was in good hands. Dr Fryer helped me to diagnose and discuss the problem and advise a course of action. The entire time they were very transparent about the costs so there were no surprises. They were a wonderful team. I've been taking my cats and kittens to Calusa for almost 20 years and they only get better and better! Last night (a Saturday) I had an emergency visit with my boy Nick. The care given by Dr. Robert Fryer was above-and-beyond and has my highest praise for attention, care, attitude, and genuine concern for 18-month-old Nick. My newly rescued dog became extremely ill. Apparently he came with hookworms, I took Bowie in as an emergency visit. The staff could not have been nicer late in the evening and into the wee hours of the morning. Bowie made such an improvement after the visit and in his treatment & I cannot thank Dr. Johnson and her crew that evening. Highly recommend!!!
