Love that this is a 24 hour clinic for pet emergencies. My cat was attacked by a raccoon and the staff was very helpful. Expensive but helpful

This place truly is the best around. Best vet I could ever ever ever hope for. My little cat baby unfortunately has cancer, Calusa not only identified what was going on, but also gave me an action plan to try to help alleviate any pain and try to extend our time together. So I brought my cat here on Sunday, since my regular vet was closed. I very much appreciate that Calusa is open 24/7 for emergencies. There was a long wait; I had arrived at 3:30 PM and my cat was finally seen shortly after 5 PM; however, I would like to serve a reminder in my review that many animal hospitals and vet clinics are short staffed. This emergency vet hospital is amazing. Everyone is so kind & helpful. I came to a Calusa this Saturday around 11pm bc my dog needed immediate assistance for ingesting a large sum of chocolate. They were having a busy night yet they still took him to the back within minutes. When the doctor came to talk to me she presented me with 3 options for treatment & didn't apply pressure to do anything drastic, just what I was comfortable with doing. Highly recommend! Brought my Ragdoll in for a possible gland infection and he was able to be seen almost immediately because they have an emergency vet for walk-ins 24/7. The service and quality of care were beyond exceptional. They had a private suite just for cats and a comfortable couch in suite for the fur parents to sit on during exam! They helped me while I was frantic on the phone when my baby broke his nail on a walk. I brought him right in and they explained it so effortlessly and treated my boy with such love and care.
