I don't even want to put 1 start because they deserve a big fat ZERO! My sister had to put her cat down , they gave her a final price. After she left they charged her card again! These people will rob you ! Watch out

On 3/29/2020 I took my cat Monkey to Calusa veterinary hospital to be put down. Before scheduling my appointment to come in, I made sure to call to get confirmation on the price. The front desk associate mentioned to me that prices started at $85.00 depending on the service I chose. Being that it was in my budget, I made an appointment to take her in to be euthanized. When I was placed in the room, I was only given ONE sheet of paper (that I will be happy to attach for everyone to see), to sign and include my choice of servi... read more

Don't take your pet to Calusa Animal Hospital off Clint Moore and Congress in Boca. We took our friend's dog here at 12 PM for a gash below her eye. After 3 attempted calls for an update, no return calls, at 7pm we showed up and they still hadn't done anything. They also didn't have him sign any sort of an estimate for any test they were doing. All they did was apologize because they had other emergencies. They should have at least called to say that so we could pick her up and get her the help she needed. Save your time, m... read more

I will never forget Calusa 24 hour emergency. My family was robbed of $3000 from the night to the morning and no help was provided to my dog... early next morning my dog died. Based on my experience... I can easily give this place a 100% applicable name of "ANIMAL CRUELTY." Too bad that the animals can't speak to tell how they are being abused while alive Why? Dr. Ranade was very unprofessional, he yelled at us after asking about the condition of our dog Dr. Portus was not interested in helping our dog... she didn't eve... read more

Hope this saves someone from the horrible experience I had with the emergency services at Calusa. This is not a review about the daytime staff/doctors because they are separate and I was treated very well by them. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE AFTER HOURS! This emergency team was the worst experience I've ever had with a vet. These people were callous and probably incompetent. They do not care and I wouldn't bring a stray animal here. Dr Carter does not look professional and has horrible people skills. Her staff follows suit... read more

Stay away at all costs!! They will tell you one thing and do another. There is a substantial lack of coordination among the staff. They also gave my dog an incorrect dosage of medication, charged me for 30mg, but gave me a box of 5mg. When I called to complain they doubted that I could read 5mg and then hung up on me. Their sticker says 30mg, but the box says 5mg as printed by the manufacturer, and someone wrote 5mg on the side of the box in Sharpie. Critical mistake as my dog was in for seizures. They care for dogs, but don... read more

OMG my bill was $3,000. My pet had an allergic reaction. I feel that was was too much money and they take advantage of people's emotions. When your about to lose your pet you'll pay anything. But, I still think it's taking advantage. I honestly thought the bill would be about $1,000. When I saw estimate at 3K I was shocked!! All that being said, my pets care was excellent.

Overall lack of consideration and courtesy. We brought our dog in for an annual check up and to check on an ongoing ear infection. Dr. Portus prescribed Posatex, a drug for the ear infection that has a 1/140 chance in causing deafness in dogs. However, WE WERE NOT WARNED OF THIS SIDE EFFECT, told to look for signs of this side effect, or presented with alternative options. There were no warnings on the label, the box, or the bottle for this prescription. We gave the drops for 3 days and started to realize that our dog could... read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!! They killed my Maltese and Yorkie. So upsetting... and gave me a bill for almost 10,000. So basically I paid them to kill my baby. I hate this hospital. I had been going there for 12 years for my 4 dogs, spending at the very least $100,000 and now I have 2 left. They both died there from misdiagnosis. I don't know what's is going on there lately, but it's not good!! I will never ever go to Calusa again...even in an emergency!
