Worst place ever. The only reason you bring your animal there is to die. I just had my friend bring my Frenchy there. I am a doctor in critical care. The way they treated him was ridiculous they gave him medication as if he was in heart failure when he had a seizure. And the vet kept interrupting me I was so rude and then hung up the phone on me and refused to give me information. The only reason we went there is it was the only thing open. In the future I'll take care of my animals on my own. They don't care about you or... read more

Hi Candace, Thank you for your feedback. The essence of our values and who we are start with patient-centric, compassionate care, and best-in-class service. We're sorry to hear you felt we didn't meet these standards for this pet's care. Our understanding of the situation is that you are not the current owner on record for the pet you're referring to, and while we appreciate your giving history on the patient to us, our doctors prefer to speak only with the current owner about on-going care, to avoid missed details and mi... read more

Rushed a Cat that I was Fostering here at about 1130pm last Sunday. The Animal had acute Pancreatitis and other problems as well, After the cat was there 3 Days, and the bill over $5000, the hospital neglected to give me enough of the prescription food that he was supposed to get, they sent me home with 5 Cans. These things happen, it shouldn't have but it did. I called the Hospital on Saturday and asked if I can come by and get a few more cans.., her answer was NO, we gave u 12 Cans what did u do with them... I said I receiv... read more

I brought my pure bred highlander cat in for a red and glazed eye. After two hours of waiting, 45mins of which was spent w. them populating a list of what charges they were going to hit us with... and a $300 bill - I didn't even have a doctor come up to me at the end of the exam to explain what the diagnosis was. I was also not permitted in the room for any part of the exam. I was just handed medication and told 'hopefully' this will treat whatever is going on because we're unsure of what's going on. I can safely say I've ne... read more

Please don't bring your fur baby here. My beloved dog came in with congestive heart failure and he was in cardiac arrest. They were able to resuscitate him but the orderly who came out was a big burly young man who gave me two options. The first one was to keep my dog there for the day and try to save his life at $3600 (he also made it clear that those charges are for 1 day only) when I balked at that he then said we can put him down for $995. He Also lied that our dog kept going into cardiac arrest but when I spoke to the... read more

My 13 week old puppy "possibly" ate prescription pills so when discovered we realized the urgency of poisoning and took her to Calusa, nearest 24 hour pet clinic. 2 hours later they hadn't done anything other than tally up what it would cost to administer any care to the pup: $2800. After 2 + hours, the puppy was normal-acting, alert, virtually no symptoms apparent so we asked a lot of common-sense urgency questions: Blood work done? Stool sample (supplied) done? Active charcoal given?("we don't want to line the stomach" t... read more

If you want to spend $1300 to have your dog mistreated and misdiagnosed, take your pet here. We received absolutely the worst service from Dr. Marisa Holst and her assistant Presley tonight. From the absolute lack of diagnostic capabilities, to the inexperienced vet, incomplete medical records (mention of antibiotic without name of drug) and needing to call the police to get my dog released so I could take her to a different hospital for proper diagnosis and treatment .. this was the scariest experience of my life as a dog... read more

Hello Judy Hanover, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry for your dissatisfaction with our hospital. We genuinely believed we provided you and your dog with best-in-class service and compassionate patient care. We hope you'll recall that we checked in on you regularly, even sent a photo of your sweet pup through our PetDesk app to help you feel more at ease while she was in our care. Up to that point, our impression was that you were pleased with our services. We were very taken aback when, at the time o... read more

An initial good impression after my rescue pup got physical therapy here after his surgery; but after visiting for an emergency I can't help but feel taken advantage of and do not recommend. My pup was coughing, had some diarrhea and a fever and his regular vet was closed, so I took him to calusa. He ended up being there for 24 hours with little communication, and upon finally insisting that I be able to go get him was charged $2600. Upon admission the vet stated he would repeat X-rays in 6-8 hours....over 14 hours later an... read more

Super disappointed. Rescheduled an appointment for it not to have been put into the system - then charged as a walk in. Pathetic. They need a more competent staff.

Horrible practice. Totally unprepared and unprofessional. Waited over an hour past appointment time to end up receiving no help. Condescending and disorganized, would never trust them to take care of my animal. Have never been compelled to leave a review for any place but what horrible veterinary experience. Very sad.

Business response:

Hello Hhs C., We have responded to your most recent review in our thread, if you would please refer there for our feedback. Thank you.
