I had a live-in aide with mom at her home for the pass year. But her needs were increasing. She had become totally non-ambulatory with no weight baring abilities & could no longer assist with transferring into her wheelchair. Her dementia had progressed and she was sleeping more & more. Care One in Livingston,NJ, or should I say CARE NONE.Incompetent nursing staff, especially Stella & Michelle to name a few. Rude & Arrogant aides especially Sharon. The 11pm -7am shift is the worst no one does anything. The supervisors do nothing as your loved ones are in Distress. The nursing staff is poorly trained as are the aides. Something needs to be done, or our loved ones will Die before their time.
I wouldn't bring anymore family members here if they paid me a million dollars. My stepmom Julie passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 [removed]. My stepmom had been sick for a long time suffering for the effects of a massive stroke 5 years ago, that surprising she survived. I was very dissatisfied with the competence of the nursing staff. They did not recognize an impending crisis in my mother. Also, when questioned regarding her medication, it was extremely important in my mom's health care that she not receive the generic form of drug. They told me she was getting the brand name! When I received the RX bill, it turns out she was getting the generic drug. They were dishonest.

When we toured the facility it was lovely. However when mom moved in it was a disaster. Mom didn't stay long because there was so much construction. The bus they had to take residents to activities was broken down. It was all very disappointing. Overall not satisfied.
Therapists were friendly, informative and cooperative. Nurses were constantly changing and they have too many patients per nurse. Asked for simple things like dirty laundry be put in bags and for nurses to talk to my mother in law before doing any work. That seemed to be a problem for them. They requested a cat scan of her one evening. They gave her bed away as she has to be admitted for at least 24 hours at the hospital. Snakes! Care One Livingston is a beautiful facity. However, there is still much to be desired regarding the care of a resident who is unable to transfer on their own and cannot dress or underess themselves. There were things that were promiced but not given for over a month, proceedures were not explained carefully, and aids are very slow to respond to calls, many times in a rush and not all are pleasant. Comment: This is a review for the Care One Nursing Home - which comes up as Care Morris AL when you search for it on this website. I have been visiting my mother who has been living here for about 7 years. I have to say that the one consistent thing you can count on at this facility is that it is always chaotic and unsupervised. There are certain staff members who try their best to support the residents but THEY are not being supported by management.
