Get directionsI visited this facility This place is better named "Care None." Stay away or your relative will die much faster than he(she) should. I learned the lesson too late. At the beginning another patient's son told me to go away, but I was not sure. Later I personally experienced how they carelessly take "care" of patients: terrible food is delivered on time and then taken away unused in a few minutes. A patient in the same room as my mom did not eat anything for days until her daughter brought her own food. When patient needs assi... read more
I am a friend or relative of resident This is a preliminary review, after but 4 days. I hope to return and rave after we get major issues resolved. Entry at 11:30 on a Friday night couldn't have been easier nor more graciously accommodated. The facility appears top notch. Weekend staff, understandably, is without resources to begin anything, although they seem receptive and promise to review and administer to Mom on Monday. Monday arrives. We thought they'd have her out of bed and beginning rehab. Nothing. They even skip a m... read more
I am a friend or relative of a resident Care One was not well managed. We moved my mother out of there because there was a mixed up with her medication. So, I would not recommend it, if the family members were not close by to check in. The staff was over worked and that's why mistakes happened. The rooms were not clean and the food was not good.
I am a friend or relative of resident My mother's two-week stay post-hospitalization for congestive heart failure and pneumonia was a nightmare. She was overdosed on oxygen, neglected by staff members, prescribed incorrect medications, and did not regularly get her compression stockings to prevent blood clots. One day, the patient in the next bed got the compression stockings. Less than two weeks into her stay at the facility, she was rushed back to the hospital with massive blood clots in her legs (which she did not have be... read more
I am/was a resident of this facility this facility is not even adequate. medications are given very late in the day. there were errors in medication dosage. requested my physician be notified at least 4 times, it never happened.iso patients were mixed with non iso patients. management there to placate the cash cows staying there. shift supervisors were abrupt and dismissive. i truly pity non competant residents. try staying there undercover,
Other horrible place ,dirty they have lice I write this because I do not body have to suffer what we did it
I am a past client of this provider Care One is horrible and disgusting. I couldn't get down the hallway on wheelchair without smelling all the urine. The bathrooms are dirty. I had nurses notified, but nothing was done about it. The meals were absolutely freezing cold and never warm. If you put the light on for a pain medication, they're always late. It could take them over an hour to get you the pain medication. And I am in chronic, horrible pain due to severe neuropathy in both legs.
I am a friend or relative of a resident I am a very frequent visitor at Essex Park Rehab and although some areas are not too bad their dementia unit leaves a lot to be desired. There is always an undercurrent of hostile relationships among the employees that makes for a tense and unhappy staff. Also there are several staff members who are obviously only there for the paycheck and don't seem to realize that they are caring for human beings. The head nurse on the dementia unit is quite unpleasant and attempts to discourage any... read more
I visited this facility Staffing is poor. There can be as few as 3 nurses covering the whole facility at any time. Most nurses are LPNs and not RNs. Aides are relied upon to care for patients, but they are understaffed. More than once a patient had no oxygen in their tank and it called for visitor intervention
