I am a friend or relative of resident If you're looking for a place with great healthy food, wonderful, warm, long-term employees, individualized care, this is not the place. Here's an example of a recent meal for an adult male with dietary restrictions for sodium: 1 hot dog on a white bun. These are not toddlers, they are adults! C'mon, senior care like this is shameful, especially when you're paying thousands of dollars per month. We owe more to our senior population.

I am a friend or relative of a resident Mother-in-law was a patient after being in the hospital. They followed doctor's orders, had her walking around and socializing with other patients, something she had not been willing to do for others.

I am a friend or relative of resident Physical and Occupational Therapists are fantastic. Support staff seemed to care about patients but medical staff and office staff are problematic. If it was not for the social worker (Gina), I would be pulling my hair out trying to deal with the office. Just try and get a bill for insurance purposes.

I am a friend or relative of a resident RUN don't walk away from this facility. If your loved on Alzheimer's wing be prepared to encounter very poor care. There are only a few nurses who genuinely care and CNA's who treat the work as a job, not a profession...They are all over-worked. My father had his room treated like a break lounge for a worker who would recline in his leather chair and charge his cellphone in his room. I am a friend or relative of a resident The medical director at Care One leaves a lot to be desired. At this facility, his rule is law, and outside physicians are not allowed to write scripts or act upon the health of patients. The staff, however, are brilliant, and are genuinely do care about the well being of patients. The nurses often go well beyond the call of duty to make sure patients are comfortable, safe and as happy as possible. I visited this facility When first entering the facility, the staff in the reception area was very friendly and welcoming. I witnessed a new resident her family being given a tour of the more "public" areas. Going further into the facility, however, revealed a different story entirely. The nurses and other caregivers seemed to be doing only the bare minimum, oftentimes being abrupt if not flat-out rude to the residents. I am a friend or relative of a resident This was an awful facility. I cant explain the overwhelming stress it caused on me and my family. My grandmother wasnt the kindest woman, thats for sure. And at first we belived maybe she was treating the workers poorly. She kept complaining about them. Eveuntally we came to find out that she was in fact being treated very poorly by the workers. I am a friend or relative of resident DO NOT send your loved one to this facility. Management cannot control the staff. Lack of attention to resident's care unless you shove their nose in the issue. Administrator does not seem to "Care One" bit.

I visited this facility Care One in teaneck has only one main concern that is getting as much money as they possibly can during your stay with them. The few nurses there who do work are too busy to provide individual care. The rest do as little as they possibly can especially the night nurses. Some of the nurses even refuse to help if they are asked for care. My grandmother once asked for a glass of water following her medication and the nurse on staff actually refused.
