The biggest thing I would say is I wish that they provided more engaging activities for the residents. I think the staffing issues have played into this - and Covid hasn't helped either. My dad is a picky eater, so others might say that the food is better. They do what they can to accommodate him.
The grounds are beautiful and this is a really nice place. The community is very nice and the layout is great and works for most of the residents. The staff can be non attentive at times and they do not get back to request quickly. They also appear to be understaffed. If you are an independent person then you will be okay, if you need help and depend on the staff then it may not be okay.
Based on what we have available and the price range this community is in a good price range. The staff that they have here and I have had contact with are great with the residents. THey do have different activities for the residents to do and stay busy in the community. My loved one however, is not able to participate but they do care for their residents here at this community.
All I can do is compare to the last place that I was at. Carmel Village is much better. I think the apartment is fine. And they are more organized, more efficient, and quicker in response times.
This community was old and dark and I wanted something brighter and more clean for my loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and the people we met with were very friendly. It is an older facility, but we were able to go up and see the area where the residents would be. However, we were just not really impressed, we know accidents happen within facility but it did not smell as good, but we cannot judge because once again we know it happens. We also did not like the size of the rooms, but the gentlemen who showed us around was great. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, it was prettier to us then any other place in... read more
Nice location, older facility but very clean and helpful, informative staff.
This community staff is super friendly, the only issue we had is when she passed away a family heirloom was missing. The food was not the greatest but they did try to accommodate but my mom she just didn't like it. Room sizes were good, and she had her own porch. I would definitely recommend this community to others.
Carmel Village is perfect for my dad! It is close to our home so we can visit frequently (besides covid). The staff has been very helpful with our requests and my dad likes where he is. Although my dad doesn’t get involved in activities they are there if he wants. The cost is very reasonable for what our family can afford (memory care unit). We are very happy he was able to get into Carmel Village!
