Horsetown has always been our go-to business for hats, boots and gifts for years. My husband has bought more than a dozen pairs of boots here and we like supporting a local business. No more. I needed 2 halters for our new rescue donkeys so I brought in an old one to make sure we got the right size. The salesperson was helpful and we chose 2 new ones. Turns out they were too small. If I could I would give this place minus 5. Bought boots for my grandson for Christmas. Because they say no refunds I asked the check out person if they didn't fit or he didn't like them could I return for a refund. I was told as long as they had not been worn I could return for refund. I specifically asked the question because I didn't want to spend $90 for boots that might not work. I went to take them back and they refused to refund me my money and would only give store credit. Be careful of their return policy on boots. My husband bought a pair of boots and asked if he could return them if he decides he does not like the fit....and they said YES.....BUT they failed to say "you don't get a refund"...you only get an exchange. They took advantage of his question and did not explain their return policy to him. Had they explained it he would not have bought them. That is a terrible way to treat a customer! My family and I have shopped here for years. Never had any issues until recently my mom purchases boots for my 3 year old son. She wasn't sure about the size so I suggested let's try them on. Literally we were in Drive way he put them on and walked maybe 5 steps one way and 5 steps back. We could see real quick the size 10 was too big. We took them off and put them back in box. This place has a lot to offer although I've never been able to find a pair of boots but I think that's more so due to how picky I am. The thing that drives me absolutely crazy is how aggressive the employees are about making a sell. I'm not sure if they make commission or what but this is they second time that I've been to this location and they have literally made me leave the store before I was done shopping. When I tell you I don't need help do not continue to ask me questions and pressure me. Won't be back.

The ladies in charge are unfriendly, rude, and not customer oriented. After exchanging the same shirt for the wrong size twice because it was stocked incorrectly, I wanted to look at the ladies selection near the cash register & was told I would have to leave my bag by the counter, & was not allowed to look around with my bag. Terrible customer service! My husband purchased a pair of rain boots for a Christmas gift, they were too small. I tried to exchange them for another size, they did not have the same boot in the size I needed. I found the right size with the same brand, color and style. The pattern was the only difference. Horsetown would not honor the price my husband paid! I had to pay the difference or get a store credit. They did not offer to check the other store or find a better solution. Very disappointed. Nani I and manager have absolutely zero regard for their customer base and the hard earned dollars that get spent there by every day people . I bought a pair of Justin boots and called them as they were falling apart a month after I purchased them . Nani completely dismissed me over the phone with some flimsy policy I would have to send them off for six weeks for evaluation. I have never written an online review before but I feel the need to do so now. I understand Horsetown's policy of no returns for some items but not for a bucket heater that was purchased two days before and was not even opened. We found the same heater at Tractor Supply for $20 cheaper. The salesperson was also very rude to my husband when he returned the item. We have a lot of options for where to purchase our equine products and Horsetown will no longer be one of them.
