Around Mother's Day me and my mom went to Cavender's to purchase some boots for a first communion party. When it was time to pay for our boots I noticed a sign that said if we spent more than $300 we were eligible to get a free women's perfume. Since it was three pairs of boots one can assume that the total would be more than $300. So when it was time for us to checkout we wanted to get a free perfume. For those of us who have shopped the OG Horsetown in Marietta, the new Cavenders takeover ruined the place. Merchandising is mass marketing of Nashville South. Poor quality. If you have a Taste for great boots, there is nothing special now. Might as well go to DSW. No equine tack. No showgirl clothing. Deeply disappointing. Poor sales help.

I have never in my life typed a review about a bad customer service experience, but I felt that it was needed with the experience my grandma and I had yesterday. My grandma and I went boot shopping on Tuesday because she wanted to get me a pair of boots for Christmas. Cavender's is a large store with a wide selection of boots, not so much for their cowboy hats. Pricing seems reasonable. Customer service is somewhere between indifferent and nonexistent. Plenty of retail support, but they're too busy to wait on anyone. Not recommended.

Great products but terrible customer service for sure. I was trying to buy a pair of tall boots but unfortunately they only had my size in slim or wide and I needed a regular. A very kind sales associate checked the back for me but she didn't have any in the size I needed. I was directed to the register to try and order a pair so that I could get the boots I want that fit me. Unfortunately the woman at the register did not want to help me at all. Good selection, quality items, with decent prices. That being said, good luck looking around, as the staff congregates in the aisles and won't let customers pass. Aside from the trail boss in the boot department, no one who works here seems to care to help customers either, nor do they have any personality at all. It's a shame, because before cavenders bought it, it was different.
They have an increasingly poor selection of horse related items. And honestly mare magic isn't even worth getting here, we now get it from pacific botanicals after finding out it is only one ingredient being raspberry leaf and pacific botanicals sells human grade with 5lbs being nearly the same price as 2lbs of mare magic brand it's so much cheaper and last longer just getting it from a source. I went to this place intending to spend over $500 on a Stetson hat. Only one employee that I saw and only about 10% of the customers were masked. The poor man that was working the cash-register and wearing a mask, probably because he is at risk was apparently being forced to work beside unmasked employees and unmasked customers. How sad. I have been buying stuff from them, for my horse farm, for past several years. They refused to give me an instore credit for one of the two pitch forks that was defective, tines were breaking off too easy. One of their associates on the phone said that would not be a problem, so I drove 30 mins each way on a Sunday ( yesterday ) to get it done and they refused. Will never shop there again. Thanks a lot for the magnificent customer service.
