I am so happy with Chuze & this location! I have been trying to find a gym that fits all of my needs but also doesn't feel too intense and Chuze is it! The gym is huge to start so it is almost guaranteed that the machine you want will be available, even during peak hours. They really pride themselves on cleanliness and that is the most important aspect to me. CHUZE in La Mesa is always clean, the equipment is in great condition, the music is low and does not interfere with one's ears or mood. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Liked the gym ok, staff is great but they ARe using fabuloso to clean which is full of neurotoxins and makes my eyes water and lungs hurt. so unfortunately I couldn't join. If you are senstive or on a healting path I wouldnt recommend it for you either.

PLEASE FIX THE AC. It's mid winter and it's sweaty in here especially near the cardio area where the windows are. I used to go to the la mesa location and loved it. It's much hotter outside in la mesa and the gym is amazing there This location is a bit smaller but I still think it would be a great gym if they just figured out the air flow issue. I recently returned from a 6 month work trip, and was looking for a new gym. This is fairly close to my home, and had decent reviews. My spouse and I came to check it out using a day pass (7 day pass), and enjoyed it. They have a large variety of equipment and cardio machines. The staff at Chuze Fitness went above and beyond for me. They were patient, friendly, and actually took the time to help me with everything I needed. You can tell they really care about the members here. Super grateful for how supportive they were .. definitely the best gym experience I've had

Chuze Fitness is a popular upper middle class gym club in SD. They have different locations throughout SoCal. This location is very spacious and clean. They have all the weights and barbells, locker rooms, cardio machines etc. I like their facility, staff and the protein shake bar. Free wifi and parking are available. Overall, I recommend you Chuze.

I've been coming here since 2019. Nothing fancy, but the workout areas are clean, and the weights and machines are always in good working order. I've used both the sauna (which can get a little crowded at peak times) and the tanning booth--overall good experiences with both. My favorite amenity is the smoothie bar. Chuze offers a wide variety of smoothies, and they're consistently good. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add more kettlebells and clean the men's restroom more frequently. The equipment, lockers, etc are all fine but it stops there. As others mention, parking sucks. Lately it seems like the AC either isn't working or at least isn't working well enough. It's often hotter inside than it even is outside and it's muggy - feels like it's 75+ in the gym. Nearly always packed and you often have to wait to use equipment. About to look for another option.
