I cancelled my membership within the 5 day grace period allowed because this place was just not for me. However, now they charged me the monthly fee and for the annual fee anyways. I'll give the benefit of the doubt this was just a simple mistake but the 1 star is because I have sent multiple emails and tried calling repeatedly and no one answers the phone or responds to my emails. 12/22/21 I used to really enjoy coming to Chuze Fitness until their "mask control" officer (Cassie) began harassing me about my mask usage when entering the building. First of all, I do not mind wearing a mask, but as I enter the building she already approaches me with a bad attitude and asks "Do you have a mask?" I reply back "No I do not." she then says "You need to have one." and then proceeds to offer me one in a very disrespectful way or as if I'm a little kid. Being a beginner at the gym is already hard but when staff is also unfriendly it's even worse. It makes you not want to go back at all. An employee singled me and one other member out when there were at least five others by telling us that we needed to follow the Express workout section rules of staying on a machine 30-60 seconds when I already was up and moving to a machine following the rules. When I first came to this establishment it was an awesome gym with superior customer service. Especially with the pandemic happening, this was the only place open! It was crowded with mask mandate but I was grateful that I could go to a place to work my mental health. The gym is nice and clean so no issues there. Our main concern is from customer service. We moved away and were told that we needed to email this location a letter stating the reason for cancelling. We emailed the email address that was given to us, but it bounced back stating that it didn't exist. We then tried to call the front desk to clarify the email address, but every call goes straight to voicemail without even ringing. I like coming here however I can't come everyday bc they close way too early and I don't know if its a covid thing but 8pm on the weekend is ridiculous at least make it 10pm and week days should be at least midnight. It's way too crowded bc the gym closes way too early. And there are not enough flat benches for chest press. I have waited 20 to 30 minutes bc there's a line. Please please add at least one more!

I've been in business here since 1991 and never had a company ACH after cancellation and not reverse it. I left because it's a horribly designed gym and dirty..... even with Covid, the sanitation stations are empty and the facility dirty from the lobby to the showers.... If you're looking for an unventilated oversized gym with movie theaters and old tanning beds, this is your place. My suggestion is to find a real gym like Planet Fitness which is cleaner, better equipped and actually cheaper with no yearly membership fees.

I have never had such a terrible experience. TWICE they charged me after calling to cancel my membership and when I called back to inquire about a refund they said there was no note or documentation on my account that I wanted to cancel. what bullshit. two months i've been wasting money here. and the sad part is i actually liked this gym. and if i hadn't moved away I wouldn't have canceled it. but after this event im definitely never coming back.

I've been a member for over 3 years and even brought a lot of friends to join the gym during the pandemic. The gym is always clean and friendly for the most part. This review is for my recent visit, dealing with an employee that was making my smoothie after I've ordered it from another employee.
