Our furnace died on Sunday, I called them on Monday, they came out on Tuesday and gave us a bid, and the new furnace was in place on Wednesday. Very responsive.

My husband and myself are in our 80's and moved into our rental that needed a new furnace. We got several bids and felt the most comfortable with this company. It was not the least expensive, but we felt the most comfortable with them. We had both a heat pump and furnace installed. The young man that came out was so courteous and respectful. We so appreciated the time he took to explain what he was doing, how to help us work the more sophisticated heat controller and he even came back for no charge when we reset the ther... read more

Stellar people. I've used them at my business for 8 years and always showed up and were straight forward about my lousy system. In Sept 2012, I bought new furnace and A/C (heat pump). Their prices was thousands less than another reputable company plus, they erred on the proposal and still stood by the price. JASON was very knowledgeable and stood by the deal 100%. Always been 5 stars in my book.

Beware! I was a long-time client of Climate Control for HVAC service and trusted them to help when the temperature in my office suddenly became drastically unbalanced, one side sweltering, the other freezing. Over the course of two years, I paid for three separate diagnostic visits, each one essentially repeating the same ineffective steps (adjusting dampers) without investigating the root cause. Eventually, I was told that the only solution would be to replace the entire HVAC system or all the ductwork, a major investment. ... read more

I requested a hot water heater repair and was told they would make it out on Wednesday. They called late in the day and said they couldn't make it but would be at the house Thursday early. I've called four times today, Thursday, waiting for 3 1/2 hours and now they tell me they can't come until tomorrow. Action Mechanical will be here today.

We used Climate Control to repair a 22 year old furnace in a rental property. The technician was prompt, polite & efficient, quickly diagnosing the problem. A main problem with Climate Control is their exorbitant markup of parts. It's great they had the part on their truck, but a 400% markup is a bit steep. We could have bought the part online for ~$70 - $100 - they charged us $430. Good thing the costs are tax-deductible!

Business response:

We regret to learn of your dissatisfaction regarding the parts markup. Our standard procedure involves providing detailed quotes and obtaining explicit authorization prior to commencing any repairs. We acknowledge your concerns.

Competent, but extremely expensive. Quoted me $1800 to replace a reversing valve and filter drier on my heat pump. Turns out this only included six pounds of refrigerant (R-410A). The unit took 12 pounds - they charged me $175/lb for the additional six pounds. When I looked up the cost of R-410A on line, it was selling for ~$10/pound, so they had more than a 1500% markup on the refrigerant. Before you use them, get a quote on the price of refrigerant - you might decide to go elsewhere when you hear what they charge.

Climate Control will let you down when you need them most. They will not stand behind their warranty, and view your crisis as a way to profit. They sold me a Mitsubishi heat pump. It was a competitive bid situation. When I inquired about the warranty, they said the unit had a 10 year warranty. I asked "if anything breaks In that period, will I need to pay anything?" The answer was a decisive "no!" . That was a lie. Before the second summer started, the coil had a catastrophic failure. It took over 3 months to repair. They... read more

Business response:

Hi Brian, I understand this situation has been an ordeal. I am truly sorry for that. We do not like or agree with how Mitsubishi has handled their parts and equipment shortage. And by extension the issues it has caused Climate Control customers. It is never our goal to lose a customer or provide less than satisfactory customer service. Mitsubishi had a major supply chain issue this summer and we exhausted every effort to get parts for you as fast as possible. The first coil Mitsubishi shipped came damaged, at which poin... read more
