I had the worst possible experience today 4/27/19. Horrible company that does not care about their paying customers. Extremely unprofessional even from there supervisors. One by the name of Angela. She told the ********** manager that she was not properly trained and she hung up.I had to cough up $250.In which CNA National was suppose to cover the cost from my warranty . What if I didn’t have the $250? I would have to walk home. When I did get home I was on the phone trying to get in contact with a supervisor or to a supervi... read more

Business response:

********, we’re sorry that you’re not completely satisfied with the service you received. We take customer service very seriously, so we looked into your claim and it appears that the rental car was authorized this weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the $250 deposit is the rental car agency’s policy, which is outside of the service contract’s coverage. If you have any additional questions or if we can be of further assistance, please call our claims manager Mike at ************ ****

I have been extremely disappointed in the way that my claim has been handled, I purchased a CNA warranty in good faith that since I purchased the warranty for a good amount of money that they would be more professional and would follow through on the warranty. My vehicle has been in the shop with the engine blown for close to two weeks and CNA has not even had the decency to go confirm the diagnosis or deny it and want me to do all the legwork for them, I have zero respect for a company that is happy to take my money up fron... read more

Business response:

*****, customer satisfaction is very important to us and we regret you are not happy with your experience. In this instance, we are working directly with the shop to have the vehicle inspected. Once we receive the full report, we can determine the next step. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please call 800-345-0191 and ask for a Claims Supervisor.

I have Preferred Tire Care Plus and never used since purchased in 10/2015. I called prior to getting replacement tires and was never advised that I needed approval; only told the tires would be covered when purchased. Sent in RECEIPT for the tires and claim was denied because ‘REPAIR MADE WITHOUT RECEIPT OR PRIOR AUTHORIZATION”. Tires were under the amount specified for tire replacement. Will NEVER purchase from CNA again!!

Business response:

Our Preferred Tire Care Plus contract pays to repair or replace tires damaged by a road hazard. It does not cover normal wear and tear. One of our supervisors received confirmation over the weekend from the tire repair facility that one tire on your vehicle was damaged from a road hazard and the other three were worn from normal wear and tear. With that information, we authorized the replacement of the single tire. We apologize for any confusion and hope that you are satisfied with the outcome of your claim.

I have a total from a vehicle that I've been trying to get paid off. It is now almost a month later and CNA is still telling me that I did not send the correct documentation. I have sent the breakdown for the vehicle so CNA knows what they need to cover. In plain text it shows exactly that, the value of the vehicle, minus my deductible, and the amount that my insurance will pay to where I financed the vehicle. I even spoke with my insurance and they said that's the correct form. So it is sent again to them directly from my i... read more

Business response:

*******, we apologize for the confusion. GAP waiver claims can be complicated because so many different parties are involved in resolving the claim. Good news though: we contacted you earlier today and left you a voice message to inform you that we have all of the documentation that we need to process your claim. However, should you need any additional information, please give us a call at ************and ask for a GAP Claims supervisor.

In September of 2015 I bought a 2015 ***** ********* from a great local dealership. I have no problems what so ever with the dealership or the vehicle. Recently I had a problem with the passenger side "headlight assembly" So I took it to the dealer to have them look at thinking it was still covered under the "extended warranty" I pay $200 extra dollars a month for. I was told by the dealer that it will not be covered under the "extended warranty" Which I purchased the "factory wrap + plus care" I get back to my shop and call... read more

I am currently working with CNA to get my car fixed and it has been the worse experience ever, I do not know how or where to begin. First off the car shop who is trying to fix my car called me to tell me that CNA told them that since the owner of the car did not mention the timing chain in his comments that they do not have to fix it. So then they said they called CNA again and then CNA told them that they can fix a portion of it and if it doesn't work to call them again. I have never heard such a thing from a warranty servi... read more

Business response:

Elias, we are sorry that you are dissatisfied with your experience, and assure you that we are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to our contract holders. In your case, we were contacted on 3/1/18 and immediately authorized repairs to your vehicle’s water pump, valve cover gaskets and air bag module, plus towing. We did need your approval for the shop to diagnose the timing chain; as soon as we got it the following day, we also approved that additional cost. Regarding the rental car, we called Enterprise on 3/2/18 ... read more

I am not really sure where to start other than say how disappointing my experience has been with this company. Approximately 2 weeks ago I dropped my ****** off at my local repair shop to inspect an oil leak. The shop's initial diagnosis was pretty extensive noting rear seal damage and other engine related concerns. Remembering that I had purchased the extended power train warranty with this car I contacted the sales department and requested the information on how to start a claim. An inspector was sent out to the repair sho... read more

Business response:

Holly, we regret that you are not satisfied with your experience. In this instance, the part on your vehicle that failed is not covered by the Lifetime Limited Powertrain Warranty, nor are parts that fail due to lack of maintenance. Sometimes the true cause of a failure isn’t known without teardown of the vehicle, as was the case here. Each inspection revealed more about the condition of the vehicle, which ultimately disqualified it for coverage per the terms of the contract. However, this warranty, which was provided by the... read more

CNA Lifetime Powertrain + Wrap was included in the purchase of my 2013 Jeep Patriot. July 3 2017 my engine failed. Had jeep towed to dealership. Dealership found that oil pump was working intermittently which cause the engine to fail. CNA claimed dealership was not equipped to properly diagnose engine failure. CNA sent their inspector oit to investigate my claim. Inverstigator claimed I put water in my radiator and "blew" my engine on purpose. CNA said they would replace my radiator and engine heads only. After pointing out ... read more

I definitely should NOT have purchased this warranty. I would say it was highly misrepresented when I bought it. Of course they say it covers everything. Unless the part is explicitly listed they will not cover it. Here is why that's a problem. Today's car our built with a tremendous number of sensors. This maybe covers two. That's great since 90% of the time that is what is wrong with a car. DO NOT PURCHASE! The other customer ratings would suggest as such. Shame on me for not looking before I bought it.

Business response:

*******, customer satisfaction is very important to CNA National. Although we don’t sell directly to consumers, we regret any confusion caused when you were offered our service contracts, which are available with varying levels of coverage. You purchased our “better” stated-component coverage, with the full list of covered parts spelled out in your contract. It differs from our “best” exclusionary coverage, which lists only those parts that are not covered. One of our claims specialists has reviewed your situation and will b... read more
