Took my vehicle in for warranty repair and my deductible is $100. I ended up having to pay $300+ out of pocket. This warranty was/is a waste of money. Do not get it. I have used it twice since I purchased it and both times have and to pay more than my deductible of $100.

Business response:

Louis, Thank you for your feedback. Our vehicle service contracts provide coverage for mechanical breakdowns. Some of the work done on your vehicle was regular maintenance, such as an oil change, which is not covered. If you have additional questions or concerns please call us at 800-345-0191 and ask to speak with a claims representative.

My first attempt to use my CNA warranty was excellent. GM service center (not the dealer I bought the warranty from) said he always cringes when people say they have a third-party warranty. When he saw the CNA envelope I keep the documents in, he literally said “Ah, sweet. Those guys are good to work with”.

Business response:

Thanks for the positive review, Jamie! We work hard to be number one in our industry and strive to deliver superior customer service. We will be here for you in the future if you need us.

We bought the preferred care plus package Our car dealer told us if we spend $2400 we would get bumper to bumper coverage. “Except for some normal where in tear items like oil changes. Tires. Wiper blades.“ otherwise “no out of pocket” paid for parts or labor !! But after reading these comments and reading my full contract it looks like I bought a train wreck! rip off ! Nothing like what the dealer sold me ! I think I will get out of this ASAP !

Business response:

****, Upon reviewing your account, we can verify that you have our top-of-the-line vehicle service contract and haven’t yet had a claim. While we strive for complete customer satisfaction, it’s not clear how we can help you in this situation, aside from offering you peace of mind that we’ve been in business for over 35 years and have been recognized consistently by dealerships for our high-quality products and service. We hope that you would reconsider your review since you have not yet experienced a claim. The contract you ... read more

The air conditioner compressor went in my 2016 ***** *****. Repairs were going to cost over $1,900. YICKS! Thankfully, i had bought an extended warranty from CNA. After my initial call, I was informed that i would have to get (pre-authorization) in order to have my repair covered. The dealer wouldn't accept the warranty (as I did not purchase my car from them), so I did have to pay for the repair out of pocket and wait to be reimbursed. I took my car to my local dealer and they were kind enough to submit the paperwork for me... read more

Business response:

Thanks for the great review, *******! We are glad that we could assist with your claim. Providing excellent customer service is our number one priority, so we’re glad to hear about your positive experience. If you ever need us in the future, we will be here.

Purchased a used ****** ******** from local ****** ******** Dealer in the spring of 2017. Beautiful Bike, runs great, Even purchased the ESP from CNA National Warranty for the "extra piece of mind" as this would cover the bike from "wheel to wheel". Two years proper maintenance, Two years of Careful driving, a lifter failed, sending bits of metal thru the engine causing Damage to other parts of the engine. No worries, I have the "ESP" - into the local ****** ******** shop the bike goes. Mechanics identified the problem, and ... read more

Business response:

****, we reviewed your claim and, as mentioned, it was determined that aftermarket parts designed for race application contributed to the mechanical failure of your motorcycle, which is not covered by your contract. We do not have insight as to how the aftermarket camshaft was sold as part of the motorcycle, only that it was the cause of failure. We hope that you have a smooth vehicle ownership going forward. If in the future you have a covered repair, you will find that we deliver exceptional customer service and stand behi... read more

My accord CVT needs replacing.. I bought an extended to 100k when I got the car, I am at 73k. CNA is replacing my transmission with a used 21k transmission... and I get NEW ADDITIONAL WARRANTY AT ALL for this used part!!! this is BS.. If i wanted a re-manufactured transmission I can pay the 1200.00 difference... WTH. this is not OK.. I am beyond upset and now contemplating of dumping my car in a year... I shouldn't have to even consider this!!! They should back their parts up with a warranty or provide a better/new more guar... read more

Business response:

***, we have reviewed your claim and the replacement being used follows the guidelines of your contract. The option of the OEM remanufactured component is available for an additional cost of approximately $1500. The used or remanufactured transmissions have a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on each of them. If the transmission becomes defective after the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty runs out and you are still under the terms of your contract, we will cover either repair or replacement of the transmission again. If you would l... read more

After spending thousands on an extended warranty on a car from ******, my cars battery kept dying. After diagnostics, the root cause was determined to be a relay that was killing the battery. After my deductible, this company will only pay $8, and the rest is on me. Including a $300 battery, because the battery " will never be covered". Even though the part failure was the cause of my battery's failure. I bought the extended warranty to appease my wife, but this just proves my theory that these companies are just out to scre... read more

Hung up on multiple times when I asked for more information. Forceful sales tactics. Rude employees.

Business response:

Stephan, Unfortunately, we can not look further into your situation without additional information from you, such as your last name and contract number. We are surprised to hear your comment about sales tactics. We do not sell our products directly to the public, only through franchised auto dealerships. We do not make sales calls by phone. Please give us a call so we can learn more about your experience – 800-345-0191 – and ask for a customer service supervisor.

Many years ago our Dodge Caravan just quit moving forward as we drove home from Schweitzer Ski Resort in Northern Idaho. As we rolled to a stop in front of a muffler shop in Sagle Idaho, my wife asked me how many miles we had. I told her 99,980 miles. We both realized at that time we were 20 miles from our CNA National service contract expiring. CNA National paid to tow our vehicle to a Jeep dealer in Spokane, they paid for our rental car, and they paid to replace our transmission. We paid a $100 deductible. I have never own... read more
