Updating my review: Will be switching providers in 2024. Very disappointed in Surf City Pediatrics and their staff. Recently took our daughter in at the beginning of this week, Monday 12/4. My 5 y/o daughter was in pain, couldn't eat, feeling dizzy and nauseous. Office took a urine sample and told my husband the results should come back in 24/48 hours and that they didn't want to RX antibiotics prematurely. We think she had a UTI. I would first like to say our Daughters pediatrician Dr. Bennett is Amazing and super nice and caring to our daughter. The staff at the front desk on the other hand is very rude and always has an attitude. This is unacceptable as this is a place where you take your kids. It's almost as you have inconvenienced then by coming in. I have seen reviews for this same issue from others. I can now agree with them. I can no longer continue going to Surfside pediatrics anymore. They've upset me too many times now. It honestly seems like they think they're running a Fortune 500 corporation over there instead of a warm and friendly pediatricians office. For starters, they are total mask freaks and are rude about it. They dont give them for free if you forget to bring one. My daughter had an appointment there this past Monday at 10am and I called to check in 10 minutes early. The lady who was at the front desk answering the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I called I was told there was not a room ready and someone would call me shortly when our room is ready so we can come inside the doctors office, but I never received a call so I called back. We have been taking our children here for over eight years but I am so disappointed with their "3 days of symptoms" then we can see you for a PCR test with covid. This practice alone shows me your office doesn't care about the well being of my children. If it doesnt make you money or its just the basic routine, I don't want to see your kids. They still don't offer vaccinations for covid in little kids. You are a pediatrician office. Dedicate your operations to all young kids. STAY AWAY! In October 2021 we took our kids (5 and 7) to see a doctor since they did not feel well. They were examined by the same doctor in the same room at the same time. Generally, ok experience. After a few weeks we were surprised to get two bill for $35 each. We were super surprised as we have a good insurance with $10 co-pay. Took A FEW HOURS to clarify that this was for "masks, gloves and disinfection". DISAPPOINTED. Been taking my 4 boys here for 21 years. Today, my asymptomatic healthy son needed a check up for a "medical clearance" to play HS sports and you wouldn't even see him, because you have a 10 day policy? OCHA changed their "clearance to play" rules last week to having a negative Covid test 5 days after testing positive. My son tested negative on day 6 and didn't have any symptoms. Took my son for a visit and had to pay cash because of issue with our insurance. After a week I submitted my insurance to Surf City to get refund back. It has been 3 months and I still have not received a refund. Called and found out they used some third party biller that is useless. I called my insurance and been told that they did not submit the claim properly.

I should have written this review 7 years ago. These doctors are terrible. Pepek can barely be bothered with anyone. I didn't like them our very first visit and I should have trusted my gut. We have already left them, but they left such a bad taste in our mouth, I had to warn other parents. So, Pepek is the worst; avoid her if you can. P.A.
