Just needed an inexpensive room... The best part had to be the front desk staff, they were polite and very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean (had to air it out beacuse it smelled like a bottle of cleaner) and I always bring along scented things when we travel so it took care of that. No noise complaints and Denny's is right across the parking lot so it made a late night meal and then falling into bed a piece of cake. Better than expected I read reviews so I expected it to be worse but overall I was happy with the place. The pool is out door and not heated so we didn't swim. Within walking distance of the outlets and 101 freeway. My wife says it is a hotel that is almost nice.
Nice place to stey we'll be back same time next year
Price is right Firstly this is a motel. Once you accept that it's not the Westin, etc it's better than expected from first impression. Small, confined reception area, hallways, ... Rooms appeared clean, refrigerator, microwave, coffee all appeared in good condition. You can hear traffic from freeway, but turn up the wall A/C and it helps to drown it out. Price is good, shopping next door, and a mile down down the freeway. Friendly, courteous staff.
Super 8 Gilroy It was a clean room at a super price from Expedia.
Not bad for the price We Stayed at the motel for the Garlic Festival. The front desk person may be the owner since he worked there all day. While he's accomodating, do not expect him to be friendly. Although the room was clean, I didn't feel very relaxed in the room. The housekeeping was nice, the free cable TV, free internet, and free breakfasts were definitely a plus. I'd stay there again, but be sure to lower your expectation as this place feels a little old and run down.
Great Motel Management The motel was what a single man wants a clean quiet place to sleep at a good price. This motel's differance is it's manager. You would think he was running a 5 star hotel with his great service and attitude.
Gilroy When we arrived the hotel looked like the Statue of Liberty under construction. It was surrounded by scaffolds and the only sign that it was the Hotel was the sign along the street. Inside was fine. Rooms were clean and the hotel is smoke free which was a plus! Check in time was 4PM no sooner so we had to drive around for a few hours because our room wasn't ready. Other than that it was a nice stay. Centrally located right next to the Gilroy outlets.
Good value The room was clean and neat.
