I’m very grateful that my grandmother has such a nice place for assisted living. I like that it feels homey and not just a room off a hallway. The staff are very impressive with the amount of things they do and the quality of their care. When I joined my grandmother for a meal, I learned the the attendant made sure my grandmother always had the strawberry jam she likes nearby, because (I guess) she only had grape growing up. It’s the tiny moments of care that are very meaningful.

For cost of services...would have expected a nurse on staff and not just med techs. Hospice Nurses increased visits. Overall experience has been better after the first few weeks. The quality of care -- started off with issues that had to be resolved. For the value for cost - it is overpriced for services. The staff was kind and caring. Our initial issues were related to not assisting with drinking fluids and giving open cups that were too large and awkward. Pacifica is a very nice and beautiful long-term assisted living facility. We happened to have two month respite needs, which Pacifica certainly provided. Respite care is more immediate than most of the residents require. While not bad, we struggled a bit to pin down the scheduling of showers and lookins. Issues with the television arose because each resident provides their own provider. The respite room was lacking in options provided. Medications were always on time and correct. My loved one is currently a resident at Pacifica Senior Living Palm Springs. The staff at this facility are attentive and very helpful. The housekeeping has been very good. I haven't dealt with family communications, yet. The meals are good and the residents get a choice of meals. I highly recommend Pacifica to others and I've already been talking this facility up with my friends.

I have visited the memory care unit on several occasions to visit and I have noticed that the ceiling fan blades are covered with heavy dust and there has been no attempt to remedy this problem also the floor in the common areas appear that they are dirty and in need of damp mopping, i go to visit my friend in her room and the bed is dusty, bathroom needs cleaning, toilet with dried stool. As a retired nurse and a trained eye to observe these issue are important for infection control.

Sometimes when a visitor comes into a place, they notice things that others may not. We would have appreciated your comments at the time to correct the situation as well as teachable opportunities. We checked all cottages and did not find dust on the fans. That said, our housekeeping staff cleans resident rooms weekly, and as needed if a resident has any additional needs. Additionally, Infection control is a high priority as we complete a daily checklist of cleaning and sanitizing all high-touch spaces.
Pacifica Senior Living Palm Springs is an adequate facility. It it set up ion cottages with only about 12 residents in each cottage. The main reason we chose this facility was because that cottage that she would be in was right outside the dining room, it was very convenient for her. She started in assisted living and I did not think she would be a flight risk, but she unfortunately tried to leave. She never really adjusted to the facility and did not like the experience. We love Pacifica Palm Springs--the staff goes above and beyond for their residents. The grounds are beautiful and the cottages are homey. They have a hard job but make it look easy. They've always been there when we need them and they really do care. Highly recommend their facility.
