Chicken is a 10/10. It's super crispy and the flavor is on point. However the Mac and cheese was a disappointment. The business photos make it look good but what I got was basically soupy cheese sauce with a few noodles. If the texture was better it could be good because I like that they add spice to the cheese sauce.

So delicious! We have gone three times since it opened, making the trek from the south end but its worth the ride. Everything is fresh, staff was very friendly and the line moved quickly. My daughter announce that the french fries were the best she's ever had and my husband got the #3 with a side of mac and cheese. Portions were so generous we had it for lunch and dinner the next day. Worth a try! We got two #3s, one medium and one mild. I didn't really think medium was spicy at all so I might level up next time. The chicken is on the darker crispy side which isn't my preference but it was still tender. If you want the best value, I highly recommend getting #2 instead with the two sliders. Daves hot chicken in Newton is well run and the food is amazing. I would tell any of my friends to go there because it is one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had.

Hands down the best chicken sandwich I have had. Trumps Chick Fil A any day of the week. The slaw and pickle combination is a game changer! I love that you can chose how spicy it is too. I will never be going anywhere else for a chicken sandwich now that I've had Daves!

Chicken was juicy and not dry. Spice level was pretty accurate. Although i think the reaper one couldve been more spicy I had the reaper and the very hot version. Would come back again

Pretty impressed with Dave's Hot chicken... It's not without it's cons but certainly would go back. First, the staff was so friendly. They seemed to be having fun without it impacting the flow of customers and their job. That's the perfect scenario. They were really nice and cool, and still cranking out orders so quickly. The chicken was surprisingly crispy, on top of being just straight up delicious. I went shortly after their grand opening, while the line was out the door, I had my food in hand in about 20 minutes. The menu is fairly straightforward, how spicy do you want your chicken? And do you want it on a bun? I tried an medium and mild. I was so looking forward to this place opening. I went opening day and once since. It was ok. Definitely tastier than, say, B.Good but not good enough to justify the price. It's not bad but the tastiest part is the kale slaw. The Mac n cheese is skippable. I like the sliders and the cost makes sense given the size. But there's just something missing for me. The dry seasoning on the fries just washes out the balance they might offer. I might go again if I'm craving a chicken slider but it won't be a go-to spot for me.
