.... Don't go here. I was extra excited for this place when I saw they had fried pickles. Then I took a bite of one and noticed a strange texture... I pulled it out of my mouth and it was a hard stick of metal cooked in the pickle. It was so scary. I work in a restaurant and this terrified me to know they had this in the batter. How many other pickles or even chicken was battered with metals shards in it? I messaged corporate on the website but I still want to warn others while I can before someone else receives food with me... read more

The person who waited on us was completely rude and had a major attitude. I wanted to leave but my husband wanted chicken and waffles. I had the sliders, the breading was soggy and the chicken underneath was dry. I'll never go back.

The prices in the actual restaurant are higher than they appear on the app - who does that? And you can't add a side anymore for just a little more. You have to pay full price now. No trays for dine in. Fries were so cold my wife took them back for some fresh and hot ones. And you can't leave leave feedback on their app either. Chicken was okay though. But it will be a long time before we come back.

Joella's downtown was so good when it first opened that when I came across it at dinner time while shopping in Hamburg, me and my family stopped in. My 10 year old got the chicken and waffles. Those were a hit. Two regular sized tenders and a massive wedged waffle. My husband and I should've gotten that. He got the chicken wings. The second hottest option "hot" absolutely zero heat. The next one step above that: "Fire in the hole" looks like it was dipped in lava and tastes like burnt rubber. You gotta find a middle ground.

Tonight my husband and I decided to give Joellas hot chicken a shot. We had instant regret from the time he arrived at the restaurant to pick up our to go order. They handed him a cardboard box holding out "drinks" we ordered 2 juices and a gallon of sweet tea. They gave us milk for our kids when my husband corrected the woman working she said they were out of juice (thank God my kids don't have a dairy allergy) the we received what was supposed to be our gallon if sweet tea in these strange plastic side containers. Listen, you have one job. Just one! Chicken. I do not have any idea why you can't produce your one job... this is why I can't give stars... Chicken tenders are not chicken... they are chicken strips. Maybe it was one of those days for this store. I placed an Online order at 5:30pm. Notification estimated food would be ready at 5:41pm, I got there at around 5:45. I waited in the store and received food at 6:15. I don't mind waiting but 45 minutes for two chicken plates and a few sides seems pretty intense. I did not complain just waited near the front for my food. I was given an apology for the wait time and two cards for a free chicken plate. That perked me up. Then I get home. The chicken is what you expect, however one of their staple items on the menu is chicken and waffles. There is just something about the waffles that they are not even as tasteful as the ones you make in the morning at a Hampton inn.. I paired it with the spiked honey which I believe is suppose to be the first level above mild, but I will be honest it has a bit of kick to it, and for some older folks this may be too much, a straight honey would be a better option.
