TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Great food and service. i hope that you get to meet Melinda who works the register. She is awesome and helps make the overall dinning experience 5+ stars.
First visit today. Tried a wing meal and chicken with waffles. Pleasant staff; food served pretty quick for cooking after order placed; good choice of sides. Reasons for only three stars: (1) waffle was cold (but tasty), (2) didn't care for the fries, (3) a bit pricy. Would try again if in the area, as chicken was very good.
My son's favorite spot to eat at in Lexington. We've been here several times and the food is very consistent which I like. Chicken is hot, spicy and delicious. The sides and desserts are also great.
First time trying Joella hot chicken, the store is definitely understaff but still provides good service! The chicken I would rate it 7/10, it's a bit dry and the flavor wasn't really powerful, I would still recommend to come here if you want a quick lunch
Food quality is great! Some of the best chicken you can get. I usually get Ella's Fav with jojo sauce. Pretty hard to beat. Sides are also delicious. Service can be a little difficult and it's probably just me but I feel like I always have to wait on food for a while.
Not my favorite thing to do but I have to. Post Covid with takeout and curbside being the norm, I feel like you have to nail it and get it right. Once you leave with your order, you really can't go back. When you don't get the sauce that makes your whole dish, you lose the entire experience. Pick up orders should be checked and accuracy really should be a priority. The restaurant was not even busy. Disappointing.
Stopped in on a whim with my wife last week. She got the spiked honey jumbo tenders and I got a thigh/leg combo with Ella's fav. Both were fantastic and the fried pickles were incredible. The servers are incredibly nice and the restaurant is clean and inviting. Definitely going back.
This has become my go-to chicken sandwich when I want good flavor and a little bit of kick without the heartburn associated with most 'spicy' chicken sandwiches. Their signature chicken sandwich, with whatever degree of heat you prefer, is always the perfect blend of heat, flavor, and most importantly, moisture.
