Food quality is great! Some of the best chicken you can get. I usually get Ella's Fav with jojo sauce. Pretty hard to beat. Sides are also delicious. Service can be a little difficult and it's probably just me but I feel like I always have to wait on food for a while.

Not my favorite thing to do but I have to. Post Covid with takeout and curbside being the norm, I feel like you have to nail it and get it right. Once you leave with your order, you really can't go back. When you don't get the sauce that makes your whole dish, you lose the entire experience. Pick up orders should be checked and accuracy really should be a priority. The restaurant was not even busy. Disappointing.

Stopped in on a whim with my wife last week. She got the spiked honey jumbo tenders and I got a thigh/leg combo with Ella's fav. Both were fantastic and the fried pickles were incredible. The servers are incredibly nice and the restaurant is clean and inviting. Definitely going back.

This has become my go-to chicken sandwich when I want good flavor and a little bit of kick without the heartburn associated with most 'spicy' chicken sandwiches. Their signature chicken sandwich, with whatever degree of heat you prefer, is always the perfect blend of heat, flavor, and most importantly, moisture. Once back in Kentucky, Fat Man Reviews made a stop into Joella's Hot Chicken Hamburg in Lexington, KY. Joella's serves Nashville hot chicken and southern sides in 17 locations throughout 5 states. I tried the Jumbo Tenders, grilled, with green beans, greens, hot honey sauce, Jo Jo sauce and BBQ Cheerwine sauce. Been here twice within the last couple of weeks. I got the hot chicken once and the ghost pepper chicken another time, both were absolutely fantastic. The staff were extremely kind and did everything they could to make sure I had a pleasant experience. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Lexington.

Food was decent. I ordered the lunch special. Although the sign boasted about jumbo chicken fingers, I actually got a couple of small tenders. I added a side of macaroni and cheese because the sides looked small. For $14 I expected better.

I went to Joella's on recommendation from a friend. I had high hopes when I walked in and left with disappointment. The Parmesan garlic fries or just a gummy mess of cold french fries. The chicken was not temperature hot nor all that great really. I got several dipping sauces and none of them were any that I would get again. The fountain drinks were pretty good but not any brand I'd ever heard of, Boylan brand. I would probably give it another shot but next time get the plain french fries.
