TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Very peaceful, easy to park, clean and friendly. It's surprising that there aren't many customers.

I've heard so much about Dave's Hot Chicken I had to finally try it out. It was a pretty cool ambiance inside, I wish I took more pictures, and the service wasn't too bad either. I like that everyone can pick their own spice level, that's nice for groups with different spice tolerances. However, it was a little pricey, especially for the cauliflower vegan option, which has a cheaper main ingredient and was smaller in size, so that was weird. Great and friendly service. Small parking lot. They usually ask you if you want an extra sauce in your box. Music in the background. Restaurant is pretty clean. Pickles has a nice crunch and acidity to them. Spice level of medium is perfect for me! I'll be back!
