TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Went on opening day and thought I'd test their set up. I was daring and ordered through their app which can be dicey on an opening day. Dave's hit the target perfectly. Drive there, walked in, waited about 30 seconds and was handed my food. Got home and chowed down. Food was great. Can't wait to go back!
the spice was there but has anyone else noticed the chicken is incredibly thin?! i was excited for this new location to be closer to home but i'll just stick to the rosemead location
Dave's Hot Chicken is the latest restaurant chain to hop on the chicken sandwich fad and establish itself in Monrovia Menu: The menu for this restaurant is very simplified and stripped down. The meal combo options pretty much come down to a combination of (1) Tender, (2) Sliders, and (3) Fries. This franchise has been opening new stores all over the country, and I am glad they opened one in Monrovia. This location is a huge white building on Huntington that is hard to miss. I came in tonight and it did not disappoint!! So happy that they are finally opened in my neighborhood of Monrovia!! When I walked in the line was long and they were bustling with business! The line moved fast though and the wait was not too long!! The staff was very patient, kind and helpful! Kudos to such great employees!! We ordered the tenders with fries~ medium spicy oh so good!! Came here for the first time busy for being so early, was hard to hear with it being so busy. Cashier was nice and helpful didn't have to wait 15 minutes. Manager was going around making sure everything is okay. Everyone very nice and attentive. Food was great!
This is one of the first 5 star review this location has! The chicken is on point, not crispy, but not bad. It has a good spiciness flavor for medium, and it isn't super hot. Fries weren't the best, the seasoning didn't really add any flavor. But Dave's sauce made a HUGE difference. A very tangy sauce, very similar to places like Canes, yet so delicious with fries! What an privilege it is to be among the first few people to write a 5 star review for a local establishment. Chicken slider here did not disappoint. Great taste, great service. I think it was my expectation to have something go wrong since they just opened. But everything went so smooth, staff was friendly and service was quick despite a long line. Went to Dave's chicken for the first time on opening day. There were lots of tables inside and outside with music playing. Everything was clean and the workers were attentive to every table. I got a lite mild chicken slider and fries. The chicken slider was great! I do think the lite mild wasn't spicy enough for me. And even without the spice I still think this is an amazing burger.
