TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Tried Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time here, and it was great. I got the #3 , one tender and one slider with fries. Chicken was crispy on the outside, moist and tender inside. I was too timid and went with medium spice. If you’re comfortable with sriracha or Tabasco, medium won’t cut it. I’ll try the hot next time. Dave’s sauce was a nice compliment. Once I walked in the door I was greeted with a great atmosphere, from the interior design to Kristel's character, she was very helpful with putting my order together and ended our encounter with a beautiful smile. Great spot to hang out late at night with friends and family. 10/10
It's pretty cool a Dave's Hot Chicken ended up on the famous Route 1 in Saugus. I went for the 1st time and I went pretty early. Very friendly staff and a good vibe with the cool art on the walls. Honestly I wasn't blown away with the chicken but it was good don't get me wrong. I just wasn't that impressed. The chicken sandwich was juicy the mac & cheese was creamy. My food as a whole was good but I just don't get why this place is the crown Jewel of chicken places. I'd come here again. Thanks!

For starters the cashier who helped us, Jr., was incredibly kind, give this man a raise, he took the time to show us the papers saying they don’t use any tree nuts or peanuts, my boyfriend is allergic. The food came out very quickly despite it being relatively busy, and Jr. helped bring it over for us. The atmosphere is great, nice and laid back, very clean as well!
