The chicken is . Literally. I guess this is why the place was packed and took some time to get the food. Fair pricing for the amount of food served.
Ok all first I am no longer a fast food type of guy but this place can change my mind. Since it opened I kept seeing long lines at this place and would say to myself "if just chicken; what's the big deal". Dave's hot chicken is a recent addition to Pembroke Pines -Iv been wanting to try it , but ended up waiting a couple months due to huge public excitement & long lines. Finally had Dave's hot chicken and it did not live up to my expectations. Several people have really hyped this place up and my first experience fell short. I had the two sandwich combo. I loved the bread, the sauce and the extra pickles on the side. The regular tender had good flavor but was did not taste fresh which was disappointing. Finally Dave's Hot Chicken has come to my hood. With apologies to the Rock, I didn't know this was a thing. And fair disclosure I'm not the best person to review this group of restaurants. It's an exception for me not the rule. I love the backstory and love the purity of focus. The fries are very good. A perfectly crispy crinkle fry is rare. Well seasoned and worth the trip alone. I visited Dave's hot chicken for the first time today. There was a long line, so I knew it had to be good. Hans took my order at the register. He is the true definition of customer service and leadership. He was friendly, thorough, and efficient. I will definitely be back.
