Dave's hot chicken is a recent addition to Pembroke Pines -Iv been wanting to try it , but ended up waiting a couple months due to huge public excitement & long lines. It was delicious... different from the KFC & Chick fil A in the same plaza . This place uses large, juicy pieces covered in a " fine dust " of flavor powder on the crispy chicken. Finally had Dave's hot chicken and it did not live up to my expectations. Several people have really hyped this place up and my first experience fell short. I had the two sandwich combo. I loved the bread, the sauce and the extra pickles on the side. The regular tender had good flavor but was did not taste fresh which was disappointing. Finally Dave's Hot Chicken has come to my hood. With apologies to the Rock, I didn't know this was a thing. And fair disclosure I'm not the best person to review this group of restaurants. It's an exception for me not the rule. I love the backstory and love the purity of focus. The fries are very good. A perfectly crispy crinkle fry is rare. Well seasoned and worth the trip alone. I visited Dave's hot chicken for the first time today. There was a long line, so I knew it had to be good. Hans took my order at the register. He is the true definition of customer service and leadership. He was friendly, thorough, and efficient. I will definitely be back.

Dave's hot chicken is truly the first of its kind in West Pines and I was STOKED when i saw it coming in. We waited a bit while the hype died down a little because the first week or two the line was out the door! We stopped in after studying the menu and walked up knowing exactly what we wanted. As a fast casual spot, you order at the counter and then they give you a buzzer to wait for your food. The food was fine. The toast was surprisingly disappointing. We came at 5 PM on a Saturday and surprisingly waited a long time (30 minutes) although it was empty. The restaurant smelled awful inside to the point where when we left people were waiting in a line to sit on the patio.
