TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Heard so many good things about this place! They were unfortunately all wrong. I ordered online, called in to confirm it was received and got attitude from the person on the phone. Whoever they were treated me like a child, explained the app was giving issues during my order being placed. When I arrived a sick, coughing, colorful employee welcomed me to the store. They handed me the order after wiping their runny nose. No one sick in the food industry should be touching customer credit cards or food orders. The food wasn't g... read more
Nothing. Could be the worst food I ever had. Powdered flavored chicken tenders. Dry. Disgusting. NCAA special one and done
Good not great, restaurant smelled bad when you entered but the service was good and the food was somewhat quick. Very overpriced for what it is. Won't be craving it soon.
Was GREAT 2/5 times. The other 3 times youre stuck with rock hard over cooked breading with no chicken. Then when you complain they replace it with guess what?! Another overcooked paper thin piece of chicken. $7 per slider btw. Make sure you tell them its your first time at the register itll enhance your chances of getting a actual piece of chicken. They actually add it to the order "first time customer" hahaha. Absolute joke when comes to consistency. If the were consistent this place would get a 5/5.
Wait times at the restaurant are ridiculous and online ordering hasn't been working all week. Had hopes for this place but not a good look.
The place was packed, staff was friendly, but the food is a gimmick. Chicken needed salt, and was really expensive. My girlfriend and I ordered 4 tenders, fries, and a drink and it was $28. I would much rather go down the street to PDQ or even walk across the parking lot for Chick-fil-a. The pickles and fries were great, but that is not enough to make me come back.
Very very disappointing I had high hopes that this would be exactly as I remembered in 2019 but sadly it wasn't. I used to frequent this establishment when it was still brand new in LA, we would wait over 2 hours some nights and it was worth it. But now that this has become a national chain it's fit into the style shitty. I got the very hot not very hot at all and it wasn't juicy and tender it cost 15 bucks for 3 tenders and they weren't like they were at all small and skimpy.
For me, even the one star is too much. I went to this place yesterday and immediately after getting through the door, a young man came up to me and my wife and asked if we just came in. I answered yes. He said that he will have to ask us to step back outside. I asked him why and he said he doesn't want anyone blocking the doors. Interesting we were not next to the doorway but another set of four people were. I asked him why he didn't ask them to step outside and he said he did but they refused. They didn't appear as if they ... read more
Was really disappointed. Through all the hype we were really expecting something very good. It was not good. The staff and the location was good/nice.
