Good scanner, does what it is advertised to do The office staff loves it. Easy to install and use. Scans in color. We also have a Brother printer and we love that too
printer works well works good for what we purchased it for....easy to use...prints nice...I would recommend this for anyone who needs to scan their home documents
Good product, lousy documentation, decent web support. This is a compact portable two sided, one page at a time scanner. The scanner works great - 5 stars. Terrific value for the money as of Dec 2013. Software is the issue. First, my antivirus software indicated a problem with the installation disk so I downloaded the drivers form the web site. Brother has made it unusable This is been a decent scanner to have & still functioned but brother decided to not support the product for Windows 11. I didn't find this out until after I downloaded 11, so now my scanner is a paperweight.

Terrible software Scanning is easy enough but the driver and program once you scan is HORRIBLE. All the programs (for easier filing of scans into folders) wouldn't install. Very slow and outdated software all the way around.
DOES NOT WORK WITH A MAC I bought this expensive scanner and it does not work with a mac computer that is updated to the current software. Brother IT support also does not exist. I have tried five different ways to use this with my computer and called IT and they are absolutely horrible. I bought this over a year ago so they will not refund me or help me. This is a piece of crap. DO NOT BUY BROTHER PRODUCTS. HP at least has tech support that will help solve your issue and they update their drivers for all products.

Brother software is terrible, document feed is terrible This is 2020, the software for a scanner should be plug and play, but it's not. Document feeder if very touchy. You have to get it aligned perfectly or you get crooked documents. Good luck scanning a multi page document. Don't cheap out, get a multi-function printer with scanner.
