It would not install It arrived, I ran the drivers ..no joy .. unistalled and ran again from the CD .. got the ol' there's some problem message.. I downloaded the drivers from Brother's website to a folder I created, installed them, still got an error message, also twice. Tried to get help from Brother's webite, the first turned out to be a clone wanting my credit card number to answer questions, the actual Brother site, useless. Poor scanning quality Poor quality even on the highest setting. Pictures turned out grainy with a yellow hue
Poor picture quality; slow; clumsy software It's certainly inexpensive but scans of other than straight typed copy often are fuzzy. Multi-page scans end up with blank pages of the backside of the documents. There's no way to delete these that I can find.
I'm rarely this harsh: HAVE A MAC? DON'T BUY THIS Purchased in Dec 2018. -Application is confusing - Has a save button that does nothing -Apparently created their own type of file format MPDF which stands for multiple pdf. odd -Updated the application without notifying customers. Mac version had no button to manually update. Look at others Love Brother but not this scanner
NOT for photos I bought this scanner specifically to digitize old photos. IT DOES NOT WORK FOR THIS. I tried every configuration of settings I could to make the photos look good. The colored photos look like cartoons, the B/W photos have no It just doesn't do the job. This scanner is better suited for business applications, i.e., documents/receipts.
Worked once and then never again This thing worked fine the first time I used it. But after that it sucks. It won't do multiple documents and keeps saving file as last file intead of the new name I input. The buttons at at the top of the program seem to be missing. Can't find any help on line to tell me what I'm doing wrong. I am using the mac driver that I downloaded from Brother. Never buying brother again.
Keep your money I bought this from B&H photos. Everything about the product is a lie. It does not scan multiple pages nor is the quality even remotely decent. I put in 5 pages to scan. It would scan both the 1st and 2nd page every time. They are not even stuck to one another. So, I manually had to feed each page. The first two pages were fine (still poor quality) while the 3rd and 4th pages were missing an inch from the right.
