I need a new power cord. Mines defective. I need a power cord, the one that came with it was broken at the connection to the wire and it doesn't communicate with my lap top. I can't rate it if it doesn't work.
Do not buy - Does NOT work with Mac Book Pro I spent way too much time trying to get this to work with my 2018 Mac Book Pro. I used the included CD software and what I could download from the anemic Brother tech support site. Don't believe that others were successful with compatibility with Mac OS 10.14 either. All the latest software needs to be updated to work with OS 10.14 and more recent versions don't exisit. DS-720D won't work with MacBook Pro 2019 I got only one year out of this product. It worked fine with my 2015 MacBook Pro, but does NOT with the 2019. Spent hours on the phone with Brother and Apple. Would have been great to get a clear answer at the start. Level 5 tech at Brother finally told me it won't work. Brother did not offer any discounts or coupons for a new scanner.
Not for Mac OSX 11 Software makes it challenging to save the scan. The trick seems to be to the kill the app after each scan. The scan quality is worse than the Canon scanner it replaced. On the plus side, the small form factor is great. Too bad about the software.
Broooothhher! Tried to install software - it wouldn't - partially installed - won't run - can't uninstall - scanner kind of useless if you can't open the software. On the other hand, scanner looked nice, well built and was very disappointed to have to return it.
It broke within a month When it worked it was great. Broke within a month and was no longer under warranty. Don’t waste your money.
Drivers won’t work Couldn’t get the drivers to work and, therefore, the scanner would not scan.
Software drivers do not work on Mac It was nice that they had the OS version to select from to confirm I was downloading the right drivers, but the drivers would not initialize and this scanner was DOA. It was light and looked pretty awesome, but it did not work even once on my MacBook Pro. OS 10.14
Need a separate CD ROM to install software/drivers if your computer does not have one BUYER BEWEARE: I bought this in hopes of making scanning documents easier. The one star is for it showing up on time, un-damanged and being the product I ordered. However, shame on me as I should have researched the product further before ordering as I am unable to use it until I get a portable CD-ROM to install the driver and software on my MacAir (OS 10.14.5 Mojave) off the enclosed CD-ROM as this laptop does not have a built in CD-ROM.
