One Star product support was terrible...had to return the product..
One Star Not happy at all with this at all, piece of junk
Not working right out of the box. Sending back ... Not working right out of the box. Sending back and will buy something different. I also can see the complaints others have mentioned about the usb port connection on the side and how that will break quickly. Invest your money in another product. This one will break on you over time
Sad to say only Brother printers seem to be halfway ... At least on OS X: complete fail. No TWAIN or SANE driver shows up, included OCR software doesn't OCR, firmware update fixed nothing. Can't speak to Windows or Linux, but I'm returning mine. Sad to say only Brother printers seem to be halfway reasonable.

Great Scanner Until it Breaks! I LOVE this scanner. I love it so much that when the first one broke, I bought a 2nd one. And then the 2nd one broke. Both scanners worked great until the place where the cord plugs in came lose and fell inside the scanner. Not once, but twice - the same exact problem. So as much as I loved this scanner, I will be purchasing something else this time.
Buy the Warranty if you Buy this Scanner I purchased this scanner 1 year and 3 months ago based on reviews and purchase price. When I went to use it today my PC would not recognize the scanner since the USB connector in the side of the scanner had broken loose from the board inside. So of course it's 3 months out of the warranty and I didn't purchase warranty protection. On checking the Brother website customer support page guess what question is listed #1 on the FAQ's page.
