My family and I have been taking our pets to East Ventura Animal Hospital for about 25 years. We started with my childhood dog, and now that I have my own dogs I take them there too. It's always been a great experience. The staff is super friendly. Dr. Pelayo keeps me very well informed about my dogs' wellbeing and I can tell that she really cares about her patients. The new renovations look great and they're really good at sending out vaccination reminders.
We are new to the area and my Great Dane ended up with a open cut on his toe. I called and was able to get a same day appointment easily! Upon arrival the check-in process was smooth and paperwork was quick and simple. We saw Dr. LeFebre and she was wonderful, she was kind and compassionate and treated my nervous dog with such care. I made an appointment here after seeing an advertisement in one of those free magazines. It was promoting their new exotic animal veterinarian Dr. Ivy Thomas. Since I have a lot of exotic animals I wanted to meet her and see how experienced she is. I brought one of my guinea pigs who had some trouble with a weepy eye. I'm writing an update to my previous review. I was told by the office manager that they will be sure to inform clients that they will be charged for an exam fee when bringing pets in for vaccines. She also offered me a credit for my dog's next exam. I think that's a fair deal.

We love East Ventura Animal Hospital! Dr. Pelayo is fabulous and makes feel comfortable and heard during every visit. We had to have surgery on our dog's back legs and they made great recommendations to a surgeon and were our partners all along the way.

Very friendly and helpful staff. This was our family veterinarian since we've had gotten our dog Beau. The reasons why I say was is because we unfortunately lost our precious Beau to an severe autoimmune disease and a blood clot in his brain, we did all that we could but it was time to let him rest. Thank you Dr. Lopez and staff for being awesome and making sure Beau felt comfortable and treated him respect. I took my cat here due to some urinating problems. He had them last year and it took 3 months and two different vets (neither of them this vet) to diagnose him with Idiopathic Cystitis, a UTI, and a urinary tract blockage. This vet was able to get a sample from him (the emergency clinic we took him to couldn't. They couldn't even handle him and his "aggression"), give us more preventative information, called me to ask questions about his diet, and prescribed him a new anxiety medication. East Ventura Animal Hospital is great, very welcoming and professional. My dog has a very Complicated medical history and the tech and doctor were very attentive and patient to listen to my concerns. No complaints here
