All of the doctors and staff at East Ventura Animal Hospital are exceptional. My first experience with them was 25 years ago when I took my cat there. That experience was so positive that when we got a dog 10 years ago I knew we would take him there also. Our dog has been treated by a few of the doctors there and they have all been excellent. I met Dr. Pelayo at a pet adoption fair and she was so kind and friendly. So, when my Handsome got a debilitating rash all over his body, I found her info and headed over there. She was so gentle, patient and genuinely concerned with his wellbeing. In fact, she called not once, but twice to check in on him. We have been taking our animals to East Ventura animal hospital for over 16 years and have had very good, compassionate and reasonable care for our pets in most cases. We recently had to go through the trauma of putting down our 16 year old lab Dottie, East Ventura and Dr Bowman went out of their way to help us through the process as a family from beginning to end. We'll continue to utilize East Ventura Animal Hospital

This place is AWESOME! I brought my two guinea pigs to see Dr. Fowell. She was very good with the guinea pigs. Our younger pig is a wild man but I'm pretty sure she's the guinea pig whisperer! He calmed down in her hands and even he looked a little bewildered at how good he was being. The service was fast but not rushed and the people were all friendly and professional. If I didn't work at a different vet I would bring all my pets here!

Dr. Fowell continues to provide exceptional care for our dog. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, thorough and makes recommendations with awareness of the costs of testing and treatment. I trust her implicitly and that helps me know I'm making the right decisions for our girl. Thank you!

Well this will be my last raving review of East Ventura Animal Hospital for a while as it is with the greatest sadness to say I lost my best canine friend on Friday afternoon. After a spectacular 19+ years, most of which I was blessed to spend with him, Ben had finally had enough and it was time to say our farewells. We have been going to EVAH for over 30 years and although they have changed ownership recently they remain a high quality veterinary service with the highest quality doctors and staff. We will continue use them and are confident they will provide excellent care we expect for our beloved pets.

The time comes when the pet you love comes to the end of their days. We are so thankful that,at a time such as this, we went to East Ventura Animal Hospital. They were caring, and tender toward us as we said farewell to our cat Clio. Each one of the crew there was really helpful and caring. Dr. Martinez, in particular, was a blessing to us at this time. So thankful for them!

Our girl Baja is a 15 year old shepherd/collie mix. Wendy at the front desk treats her like one of her own. Dr. Fowell has known Baja for many years and always treats her well. Recently, Dr. Bohman has seen her on a few occasions and is also amazing and has made wonderful recommendations. The staff are courteous and always follow up with a phone call after a visit. Online medication refills are promptly filled. I would recommend EVAH to anyone.
