After reading all the reviews I see that there is surely a problem with Elliott Realty. We went to Vacation Rental By Owner (VRBO) and after we clicked on making a reservation found that it was not VRBO but a rental company (Elliott Rental). Too late to change, but we were hoping that it would be okay. We stayed at Somers by the Sea 1 with the Windy Hill Office of Elliott from June 19th to the 26th. I booked a reservation with Elliot Realty for a house in Cherry Grove in early October 2020. The amount was paid in full a month before we were to arrive as stated in the contract. 28 hours prior to my arrival on June 5, 2021, I received a call that the owner was doing reconstruction with no type of explanation. Elliot offered me an "upgraded" house in South Myrtle beach that was not on a channel and it was at least 45 minutes from where I wanted to be. I have reached out to your rental office multiple times (the 1st two emails with NO response), my 1st call to file a very valid complaint ended with 0 rectification and I was told, by the agent Vanessa, that I couldn't even speak to a manager until the day before checkout to file any grievances. We rented the home called Beach Please (reservation 1086791), the listing says it sleeps 10. We are a family of 7 (2 adults and our 5 children aged 8, 6, 4 year old twins, and 2). I would have given no stars but that's not an option. This has to be the worst place to rent from. We were told it was a house, turns out it's a condo. We have three parking spots come 7 bedrooms... not to mention we weren't allowed to enter our property until after 7pm-and then we had to clean the unit ourselves but we weren't allowed to enter when we arrived to clean it. Then you got the 3 parking spots, 2 of which are being used by a dump trailer and a truck for the company that's renovating the unit next to us. Broken ti... read more

I can't even give them 1 star but had to give something to post this. This is a disgustingly long story. Condo wasn't cleaned, food left in refrigerator, food on counter top, dog hair everywhere (no pets allowed), body fluids on sofa w dog hair, dog bones under the furniture, parking was for compact cars but we had 3 trucks. One renter said they told them to park their cars in the Walmart parking lot and catch an Uber back. Seriously. Once we finally got maid service it took them 2.5 hrs to just clean upstairs. It was a terrible experience right from day 1. With no idea where to pickup the keys, we were roaming at night from one Elliot office to other, with zero hospitality from the representatives available on emergency hotline. Then started the nightmare when we reached the apartment. With filthy closets to uncleaned dishes to broken tiles, to a not working washer dryer and dishwasher and above all apartment where someone had smoked. The email below was sent to Elliott. It details my experience and my frustration with Elliott. My family recently booked a vacation with Elliott Rentals. My entire experience was a frustrating NIGHTMARE. I have filled out multiple surveys (sent by Elliott and Myrtle Beach Vacation Rentals) and have received ZERO response. House was filthy in and out. Seashells, beer cans and cigarette butts all over outside.. stove and dishes where nasty.. floors not cleaned for awhile and alot more.. company said owners fault and never sent anyone to clean.(they charge almost $500 for cleaning). Bed sheets had dried up blood on them. We had 2 disabled people so we only rent properties with an elevator. The elevator was broken we called and said be there Monday(called Saturday). We rented one of their properties and it was FILTHY. Trash and crumbs leftover from the last tenants under the bed and on the deck, black mold in the fridge, sticky door handles, stained pillows, bedspread clearly not washed and carpets definitely not vacuumed. But the last straw was finding a bed bug in one of the rooms. Elliot tried to put us up in a different house after that and the next house also had bed bugs so we asked for a refund and had to find a new place last minute for 10 adults and a baby. DISGUSTING.
