House was filthy in and out. Seashells, beer cans and cigarette butts all over outside.. stove and dishes where nasty.. floors not cleaned for awhile and alot more.. company said owners fault and never sent anyone to clean.(they charge almost $500 for cleaning). Bed sheets had dried up blood on them. We had 2 disabled people so we only rent properties with an elevator. The elevator was broken we called and said be there Monday(called Saturday). We rented one of their properties and it was FILTHY. Trash and crumbs leftover from the last tenants under the bed and on the deck, black mold in the fridge, sticky door handles, stained pillows, bedspread clearly not washed and carpets definitely not vacuumed. But the last straw was finding a bed bug in one of the rooms. Elliot tried to put us up in a different house after that and the next house also had bed bugs so we asked for a refund and had to find a new place last minute for 10 adults and a baby. DISGUSTING.

I also rented a condo through Elliott. I had to cancel because of a health issue. My issue is every time you call there you get a different answer. I was told that they would try to re-rent my condo and I would get a refund minus $100.00. When I seen my condo was not available for my week I called and was told I would get the full refund because the condo owner took the rental away from Elliott. I arrived 10/29/20 to unlock push key door. While avoiding human defecation on the inner stairs, holding my breath and shining a light to see, it was a bad start that only got worse. We brought softball players that were in a tourney and one MAIN point of hot tub was for the girls and loosening them up for play. Last several years of condo rentals have been horrible, Rooms are filthy, have not been cleaned or sanitized. This last rental at Ocean Bay we found a dirty diaper behind night stand, hair in sink, old food in freezer, trash in trash can. food on tables and chairs, floors not clean or swept. Now especially with covid 19, you can tell no one has cleaned or disinfected the rooms. Elliott does nothing but say they will send a cleaning crew. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, EVEN THOUGH THE WHOLE COUNTRY IS DEALING WITH THE PANDEMIC, THIS COMPANY REFUSES TO REFUND YOUR DEPOSITS!! I CAN SEE THAT ****** **** ****** HAS AN "A" RATING...I'M GOING WITH THEM. *****

I am not sure why you never received a letter from us stating that this had been done. However, I am going to issue another letter to you.

Checked into a Beach House, and the pool was nasty and turning green. The house hadn't been cleaned. Found pills and needles laying around in the house. Black mold was on the floor, walls, and air conditioner vents. The refrigerator didn't work. Made a complaint and was told they would call me back. They never called back for 3 days. Didn't clean the pool until the 4th day we was their. Would not recommend.

We had scheduled a vacation for the 1st week in August. Due to the Pandemic and South Carolina being put on the quarantine list for the state I live in, we had to cancel. I would not have been able to go back to my job for 2 weeks which I could not do. I understand as per the contract we would be given a refund minus 100 dollars if our unit was re-rented for the same time frame and the same price. I am a Canadian so I cannot enter the United States due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I contacted Elliot Beach Rental by phone on May 21 to discuss cancelling my 2-week reservation and was told that I would not received a refund unless someone else booked my weeks. This is ridiculous because all other rental agencies have given refunds for cancellations related to Covid-19.
