Checked into a Beach House, and the pool was nasty and turning green. The house hadn't been cleaned. Found pills and needles laying around in the house. Black mold was on the floor, walls, and air conditioner vents. The refrigerator didn't work. Made a complaint and was told they would call me back. They never called back for 3 days. Didn't clean the pool until the 4th day we was their. Would not recommend.

We had scheduled a vacation for the 1st week in August. Due to the Pandemic and South Carolina being put on the quarantine list for the state I live in, we had to cancel. I would not have been able to go back to my job for 2 weeks which I could not do. I understand as per the contract we would be given a refund minus 100 dollars if our unit was re-rented for the same time frame and the same price. I am a Canadian so I cannot enter the United States due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I contacted Elliot Beach Rental by phone on May 21 to discuss cancelling my 2-week reservation and was told that I would not received a refund unless someone else booked my weeks. This is ridiculous because all other rental agencies have given refunds for cancellations related to Covid-19. I will never rent from Elliott Realty every again! This business has no consideration that we are going through a pandemic. They are just looking to make money and has no care for the customer. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! Zero stars if it were possible!!! In the middle of this pandemic situation, you would think that a company would have a little bit of a heart, but not Elliott Beach Rentals! They are RUDE, HATEFUL, and UNCARING with their automated response of "we are contractually not able to help you, but if you want to cancel and us TRY to re-book with someone else, we can do that". Elliott Rentals took a $1650.00 deposit on May 8 & we canceled our reservation three weeks later, on May 29th for a July 5-11 stay. This gave them about a 6 week notice. Due to Myrtle Beach being a COVID-19 Hotspot at this time, they have not yet been able to rent out the unit, and are refusing to refund our deposit. Poor business practice in this circumstance and the state of our nation right now...

Could careless about the pandemic and are not willing to work with customers that are effected because of different state mandates. Had to cancel my reservation because New York has named South Carolina as one of the hotspots that if you return from it you have to mandatory quarantine for 14 days. With being responsible and cautious I had to cancel my reservation that I booked a month ago when things were ok. I can get a refund only if it is rented out with in 3 days.
