Worse place ever! Staff is the worst I have ever encountered in a health care facility. Long story short my dad had a heart attack while in there and was not discovered until about 30 minutes later and rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. This place does not care about their patients only about their bottom line after hearing numerous complaints from my dad which went unanswered when brought to the attention of the staff. What a shame Health South sold to Encompass.The last good caring rehab facility in Broward county is gone.Encompass must be only looking at their bottom line.Service there now is almost nonexistent.My mother called me to come and get her after she watched her room mate try for 3 hours to get someone,anyone to come and help her.She had a broken hip and needed help moving around.My mother being near the door started yelling out for help for her room mate.Still no one showed up.Thank God she has seven kids who are now nursing h... read more
This place is absolutely disgusting and nothing but a money making machine that has no care for any of their patients all they see is money signs. This rehab facility has the worst security doesn't even ask for an ID all you do is sign a paper and you get a sticker if they feel like giving you one, any crazy person can go in without an issue. This place reminds me of the movie One flew over the cucuoos nest with Jack Nicholson. Every nurse here is a nurse Thacher. One night the lame brain nurse claimed she could not find a vein in my wife's arm or wrist to start an I.V. line and they told me she would have to be transported to another hospital to do a pick line. The paramedics picked her up 3 hours after they were called and took her over. I visited my friend at this place earlier this week. Before I got to her room I was actually impressed how the rehab therapy rooms looked that I passed going to her room. Very clean and orderly. As I entered her room, I saw the woman in Bed 1 struggling to get herself on the bed. She was half in and half out of her bed pressing on the buzzer for a nurse to help her. THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO BRING ANY FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND PERIOD. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT bring ANY person her especially if they are a loved one. The worthless unknowable, lazy, rude staff will disappoint both you and your loved ones. Unfortunately I've had two family members in this place over the years and it's been nothing but disappointment after disappointment. DANGEROUS FACILITY-Incompetent staff, negligent medical care, arrogant administration especially Bianka, the case manager.. They need to be inspected for medical negligence. Example: my father who had a stroke 4 weeks ago, was just released today from 2 weeks in Health South during which time: 1) His wound ( a hematoma on his arm caused by falling when having a stroke ) which was supposed to be monitored daily was neglected for 3 days at a time- twice. 1st review ever-- If it weren't for the THERAPISTS there, HealthSouth care would be awful. The therapy team was fantastic. Lauren, Courtney, Marly, Rachel, Rebecca etc were phenom! The patient care techs are awful with the exception of Georgia! Georgia is top notch! The patient care techs are a miserable group of mostly lazy and constant complainers. I rarely write reviews, but I feel I need to warn those who have loved ones placed in this facility. It's very pretty and looks good, but it is almost impossible to find out any information. I live in California and my mother was there after I had to return home. I called every day and never received a call back. I was called AFTER she was released, telling me that she WOULD be released.
