This place has the best staff ever and the best doctors in the Area. They offer a complete rehabilitation process; speech therapy, physical therapy and cognitive therapy. The best staff; caring and professional. Great installations. Nobody wants to have an accident, but this place is great to recover.

Outstanding facility with outstanding care.! I was in the brain injury/ spinal cord injury unit for two weeks after two weeks in the ICU at The Florida Medical Center.This rehab hospital has an amazing staff of educated kind professionals.

My mother was just discharged from Health South after spending 2 weeks there. She was very satisfied with the care and therapy she received. She was given 3 hours of therapy each day: 1 hr. of one on one PT, 1 hr. of one on one OT and 1 hour of group therapy. Ilene, her physical therapist, was excellent. Kayleigh, her occupational therapist was also very good. The group therapy was not as useful or helpful, in her opinion. Nursing care was pretty good though at busy times, they were slow to respond. I arrived for a ten day stay following the bodyshock of a laminectomy surgery, which successfully corrected a spinal stenosis condition. My surgeon had strongly recommended HealthSouth because of its healing and rehabilitation reputation. And, yes, amazingly I went from stretcher to cane-free walking during this short stay. All I can say is that I am full of gratitude to the entire staff at Health South. The doctors, nurses, aids, case managers and dietary to name a few of the departments involved in running this facility. My father was treated with respect and well taken care of. A special thank you to Dr, Levy, Marjorie De Nieuerkerk, RN and Case Manager Annie. In my humble opinion, if you have a loved one who is in need of care from a rehabilitation hospital, HealthSouth should be seriously considered.

My mother was a former patient of this facility. She was very debilitated and weak from a hospital stay and the staff was so motivating that they got her strength back and on her feet in no time. It was a great experience for me because I never had to worry about my mother while she was at this facility because I knew they were taking good care of her!

I am a former patient of HEALTHSOUTH Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital (inpatient and outpatient). I had contracted guillain-barré syndrome. I remained at HEALTHSOUTH for 32, after which I was admitted to the outpatient facility where I received the appropriate therapy for approximately 4 weeks. The rehab is vigorous and demanding, and they do make a lot of progress before patients are bumped out because their Medicare benefits run out. The aides are attentive, but not all are pleasant, by any means. The nurses are mostly competent but medication errors have occurred because of a new computer system that is unfamiliar. Better than most.

If you are looking for a rehab for your family member who had a stroke, then this is the place. I cant thank them enough for all the help they gave me and my family in dealing with my dad who had a stroke. Special thanks to Baltany in OT, Rachel in speech and Bianke, the case manager who helped us get my Dad back home with everything he needs.
