For a rehab in this area, this is the Four Seasons, compared with the others, which are Motel 6s. I had to rehab after spine surgery, and was very depressed about the prospect of going to a nursing home, which was what my insurance was allowing. But, they approved Healthsouth, and I couldn't have been happier with the care. In many ways, they were more exemplory than my hospital where I had surgery. I recently spent 7 days in this rehab center. The staff was wonderful, nursing, OT, and PT. Knowledgable, caring, attentive, professional. The rooms were spotless. The meals were well planned and varied. I strongly recommend this facility.

IMO the best acute rehab in broward county.every patient i have brought to this facility always give rave reviews.its clean,friendly knowledgeable staff.the rooms are clean and has no smell,which is a big plus compare to some other places.so if you have a family member who needs rehab this is the place.

This was one of the worst experiences our family has ever had with a healthcare facility Encompass in Sunrise Florida. It took four days before we were finally able to speak with the doctor who was caring for our loved one. During that time, medications were being given and changes were being made without anyone adequately communicating with the family about what was happening or why. My spouse, who is paraplegic, was dropped from his bed.There were supposed to be two attendants cleaning him, and only one was there.He hit the ground on his knees and had to stay there over an hour until they could find a Hoyer to lift him back into the bed.I was not notified by the facility, but was told this by my spouse.I called the facility and was told by a nurse named Audrey that they dropped him and they were sorry.When I tried to contact the head of the facility, Dr. Scott Tannenbaum,he seemed to be busy in a confer... read more

Our experience with Encompass Health in Sunrise, Florida was extremely upsetting. Based on what our family experienced, I would NOT recommend sending an elderly parent to this facility. My 80-year-old father had just come out of the hospital after a serious medical crisis and was on dialysis. His cognition was significantly impaired, he could barely walk, and he was in no condition to safely care for himself. Despite this, they were attempting to discharge him home. My mother-in-law's admission to this rehab facility was handled extremely poorly from start to finish. I personally drove her to the facility and provided a 30-minute arrival window, followed by a 10-minute advance notice before we arrived. Despite this, no one was prepared to receive her. When we arrived, there was no staff member to greet us, and it took over 20 minutes for someone to locate a wheelchair.
