Therapists are wonderful but care leaves a lot to be desired. My Mother is there currently and she has been left to sit in her room. They don't come back to check on her after putting her on bed pan. You can't tell who is a Nurse and who is an Aide. I have not been contacted since intact to know the plan of care. or how to access their said app. Granted she came into the facility on a Friday afternoon, they should still have people available to facilitate an intake all the way through no matter what day of the week it is.

The nurses are not helpful. Rhe wait time for one to come to you after you hit the call button is average 40 minutes. The excuse is always I was with another patient. At night don't expect to sleep. The play music at rhe station. And they talk so loud. I would never recommend this awful place to anyone

If I was to just rate the PT and OT staff, I would say that they would rate 5 stars, but unfortunately that is not the case with the rest of the staff, especially on weekends and nights. If you are not there personally advocating for your family member, they will be forgotten and ignored for hours. For example my family member was still waiting to be served breakfast when I arrived at 9:30am on Sat., while the rest of the patients had their food for close to an hour. NO STARS. (but had to give one star for this review to be posted) Our mentally handicapped sister was admitted to this facility after having a hospital stay. She entered this facility with a week's worth of clothing which ALL went missing on the 5th night of her stay when an aide came into her room and said she was taking the clothes to wash. I was injured in an accident at work and treatment brought me here, to Encompass Health. Specifically Dr Tennanbaum's office. Now that I am trying to return to work, I am in need of a referral stating that I am able to work. I needed the referral completed within three days. After multiple calls throughout each day leading up to the last, I was told that it's on the doctor's desk and there's nothing that could be done to expedite or assist in any way. My husband is currently a patient here. Horrible experience. They like to pass the bucket. Came here in need for therapy, staff didn't read the chart correctly and insisted no weight baring on both legs, he has one broken leg. Orthopedic orders was to strengthen the one normal leg. They refrained him from therapy. Also, some sessions, the therapist is booked for two patients, so you have to wait for them to bounce back and forth. Nursing is understaff or lack of effectiveness. Miserable, uncaring rehab. My twin brother was in a severe bicycle accident with severE head injury, multiple broken bones, coma 6 weeks and not expected to survive. He came to Encompass after several months in hospital for mental and physical rehab on a Friday morning and was cuffed to the bed until his first physical therapy rehab mONDAY. The nurses do not care for the patients. My friend is currently staying here for rehab and the amount of times she's had to call somebody to assist her is ridiculous. The nurse would say she's coming and NEVER come, at one point my friends other doctor came in and even asked where she was but she was nowhere to be found. If you have the choice to go anywhere else please do, you will NOT get taken care of here. Still waiting for a response from Encompass. They do not return my calls. (Rhonda). Left many messages. All my Dad's belongings are gone or stolen. They don't care.. terrible dirty place and the nurses ignored my Daddy for days until he became gravely ill and giving him the virus. This has destroyed our family unit.. CALL me back! Pay for my Dads belongings.
