Looking for quality home or hospice care for a loved one? Keep your loved one as far away from Encompass as possible. Encompass has literally almost killed my mother on two separate occasions and contributed enormously to her pain and discomfort because of their atrociously bad/lack of communication with their own staff, hospital staff, and family caretakers. There aren't words to convey how profoundly disgusted I am with this company. Stay away.

I was told by their representative that my husband was accepted for him to get rehab from a massive stroke. 2 days later when my husband was being discharged and the hospital arranging transportation for him, Encompass says nope, not going to take him. They left me high and dry, with a husband that I cannot take care of AT HOME in his condition with no where to go. My best friends 91 year old mom was there.. The nursing staff was not very nice, they appeared to be doing you a favor if interacting with them. The food was barely edible. WE brought our concerns up and nothing was resolved. During the course of her stay 2 items were kept/stolen by the HOSPITAL: 1) A Walker 2)Her heating Pad which she had for Years .. I'm writing this review on "Encompass Rehab" was once known as HealthSouth Rehab, I'm very disappointed in this facility due to the fact my spouse is a dialysis patient and just finding they do dialysis on patients late at night there which I think not good, they told me that physical therapy is done first OK then I guess the therapist needs to get paid first so being dialyzed is not that important to them so now to make a long story short they just realized my spouse port is not working 10pm at night so now they have to... read more

Worse place ever! Staff is the worst I have ever encountered in a health care facility. Long story short my dad had a heart attack while in there and was not discovered until about 30 minutes later and rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. This place does not care about their patients only about their bottom line after hearing numerous complaints from my dad which went unanswered when brought to the attention of the staff. What a shame Health South sold to Encompass.The last good caring rehab facility in Broward county is gone.Encompass must be only looking at their bottom line.Service there now is almost nonexistent.My mother called me to come and get her after she watched her room mate try for 3 hours to get someone,anyone to come and help her.She had a broken hip and needed help moving around.My mother being near the door started yelling out for help for her room mate.Still no one showed up.Thank God she has seven kids who are now nursing h... read more

This place is absolutely disgusting and nothing but a money making machine that has no care for any of their patients all they see is money signs. This rehab facility has the worst security doesn't even ask for an ID all you do is sign a paper and you get a sticker if they feel like giving you one, any crazy person can go in without an issue. This place reminds me of the movie One flew over the cucuoos nest with Jack Nicholson. Every nurse here is a nurse Thacher. One night the lame brain nurse claimed she could not find a vein in my wife's arm or wrist to start an I.V. line and they told me she would have to be transported to another hospital to do a pick line. The paramedics picked her up 3 hours after they were called and took her over.
