These guys are thieves! No pods allowed! They don't tell you this. In fact they may tell you it is ok to bring them onsite. No pods not even for 1 hour. I was told pods weren't going to be an issue I could have them dropped load them and have them picked up. When I arrived with said pods they said no pods on the property! This means a giant storage units contents must be loaded from u it to the street. Find a place that allows portable units if you need them. I had to go to U-Haul. And hire extra help. Don't even think about it. This place is the sh thole of all sh tholes for storing your stuff. They also bait you with "great" move-in prices but will most assuredly keep hiking the rent beyond your reach to more than make up for the initial "deal" that lured you in. Once they have your possessions in hoc, they know you are a hostage at their mercy and will keep raising the rent. Count on it. BEWARE!!!! UNSAFE!!! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! I received a call from Ventura PD that someone had broken into my vintage trailer and was living in it. They wanted access. I won't bore you with the details of how much heart and soul went into rehabbing my little trailer that now housed local Meth Addicts. That part just makes me sad. Back to the review....They found the guy...drug needles and all. He and another guy (maybe more?) were apparently staying in if for what appeared to be at least a month or so. My trailer was stolen from this place- they drove right by the patrol car. Beware that this place has lots of problems of units getting broken into. They don't care about your stuff- just want to collect your money. They take no responsibility for thefts. They have a security service which is absolutely worthless. If someone either piggybacks to get in or knows a friends gate code they have free run of the place. If a vehicle gets on their lot they could take every trailer in there.
I would avoid this place. I would like to give them 0 stars if I could. My storage unit has had 2 attempted break-ins and no resolutions from the on-site management or higher. Numerous calls to the managers have done nothing to help with the issues. But they are happy to take your money each month while their rates continue to increase. This place is awful and I recommend everyone store their at tuff elsewhere. They have a bad rat and termite problem. They raise the rent every month sneakily. I just moved out and asked if I could use their dumpster, They gave me the thumbs up and after I move my stuff to the dump the asshole manager tells me no after I unloaded everything from my truck fuck that guy and fuck this place
***BEWARE*** I rented a storage unit at Extra Space Storage on November 8, 2019 and moved in over the weekend. Before moving my things in I swept the unit and sprayed bug spray throughout. I take pride in my belongings and everything I own is clean. I placed some additional items in my unit on Saturday November 16th and everything looked just as I had left it. After 1 year of having a space here, my cost for the space has gone up $15 for no apparent reason. I also recently noticed an ant infestation in my unit even though I only have sealed plastic containers in there so its not coming from anything I have. Lastly, the most shocking thing was what I saw this last Friday when I stopped after their office closed (around 7pm). I have had a $435 unit that has sliding doors on both ends of the unit and have never had anyone break into my unit until I went Sunday, November 3, 2019. Both my locks looked untouched and undamaged. Unfortunately, my unit was broken into. I am so fukin upset...can't begin to express the anger I have.
