Avoid this place if at all possible. Not only is the area a bit sketchy but so are many of the clientele. Even worse, the rate you pay will start sneaking up on you without any notice. I am now paying 2x what I started, only one year in. Ask them about it and they simply don't care at all about customer satisfaction. Crappy as it will be, I am actually looking to move my stuff to a new facility just to not be paying them anymore.

I am paying 4x the rate that a new customer would pay for the same unit. There have been regular increases in my rate every year. This is probably the modus operandi for storage places, as they know any one who stores their belongings has few options. Being a long term customer only hurts you here. There are many empty units, so it is NOT a supply and demand situation. My fault for not dealing with it sooner. I see from other reviews that this is the way they keep their profits up.

I'm not an actual customer but I was cleaning out a storage unit for someone. For my one day being there, my experience overall as ehh...The place is ok. I do like the fact that the place doesn't have normal gate hours and the guy at the front desk was courteous but I was given a bad impression with a bad encounter with one of the employees. I had movers to help me empty out the storage unit. They were determined to finish as soon as possible. And I will take some blame for not leaving ample amount of space in the hallways ... read more

I tried calling this place to get a quote on a storage space. After sitting on the automated phone menu for ten minutes, I was finally placed on hold. And then I hung up. What the hell kind of storage space needs all of that? Just have someone to answer the damn phone. No business for you. And no stars either (except one because yelp is making me).

Stephanie the lady at the front desk is GREAT. My one star review is not about her. I wish the rest of the place was as good as she is. My complaint is about the service elevators which frequently break down or are tricky to get to work and the BAIT AND SWITCH BS they hit you with as a a customer. They charged me $50 a month for my unit and then never told me that a scant 4 months later they would be jacking the price up. THAT IS NOT ETHICAL. It might be legal but its bad business and stinks. Don't rent from here unless it's only for 5 months. They didn't mention to me that the rate I got online is not guarenteed for the time I am using it. There was no attempt to apologize or satisfy me as a customer. I believe it's pointless to have Internet prices for those who need storage for a longer period. Mind you, I wasn't told this when I signed up initially. It's sad how the world operates nowadays. It's only about money and not customer service. Shame on you...

EVERYTHING STOLEN a couple months back!!! Our first mistake was assuming the facility took security seriously, as the Extraspace website suggests. We only needed a unit for 1 to 2 months, so the internet deal seemed like a good bet... When the police came to take our report, we learned we were one of several recent break-ins. They even lectured management because the frequency they were getting called to the facility was ridiculous. Do not leave your stuff with these people! I am the third person that I know has had things stolen out of their unit, god only knows how many there have been. We are in the military and left on a long deployment to come back and find many of the most valuable things in our lockers missing. We all think that it must have been someone that worked there seeing as how the locks were intact and appeared to be untouched and the employees knew that we were leaving for an extended amount of time. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND!!! My husband and i got a storage unit to move in our belonging while he deployed (he is in the navy) for about 7 months. Both of our names were in the paperwork and my husband signed a paper stating that if he were to miss a payment our unit WILL NOT be eligible for auction because he is military personnel and is deployed.
