Friendly at first but ***I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!*** THE BAIT AND SWITCH - I rented a parking spot for my travel trailer and they said I didn't qualify for 1 month free rent as advertised because I got a discount on my spot. Didn't seem discounted to me but a good chunk of money monthly. And now, just A FEW MONTHS LATER, THEY RAISED THE RENT. This place is one of the dirtiest storage units I have ever stored my belongings to. I'm glad I do not store my stuff here anymore. The employees are rude and the facilities are so old it feels like the building is going to fall apart, it also smells like mold. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone especially with the price being so high for a storage unit that isn't what it advertises.

I moved out and called to cancel my unit 9 days ago. Nearly a week later i got an email saying my automatic payment was set to go through. I called the main office and told them I cancelled and had not received a confirmation of cancellation but rather an email suggesting the contrary. The man who answered said he would turn off automatic payments to my account and that was equivalent to a cancellation. Do yourself a favor and never I repeat never use Extra Space Storage. First of all they make you pay a costly monthly insurance and they increased our rates of the storage every 6 months. The day I moved out I payed them my balance for that month. The person in the office said you are all set and everything on my end is complete. A month later they sent me an email saying I owe them for an additional month on the unit. Bait and switch! Iv'e been in the unit for 2 months and they are already raising the rent. I'm guessing this is standard operating procedure for extra space storage. They give you a half off first month rent then two months down the line they raise the rent since they know you don't want to move your crap out. Plus they make you get their insurance which at this point has to be a scam as well. Total misrepresentation of services and questionable business practices. Buyer beware! My experience here was horrible. I had to talk to people so many times to get a unit. The staff doesn't know how things work. I made my final payment when I gave my intent to move out but the employee didn't do it right so they said I hadn't paid. I was unaware of this so they cut my lock off and put their own on. I was locked out of my unit when I tried to move out. The staff is very unhelpful. 100% would not recommend.

I rented a 10 X 10 unit and was told that they would pro rate the monthly rate if I did not end up needing the unit but a few days. I was told that if I did not rent right away that they might not anything available. I was also told that because I had renters insurance they would refund the cost when I brought a document showing this. I signed up for my unit in August and by December I got a notice my unit was increasing by $26 per month. When I signed up they said they rarely raise fees within a year so I figured my rate was fair. They advertise a month free also but no matter which unit you ask about none of them qualify for the special. Bait and switch is all I can say and I can't wait to move out. Hands down the worst customer service I've ever received. My unit was broken in and most of my stuff was stolen. The office person who was there when I was notified was condescending and rude. He basically blamed me for the theft. They had no video of anyone leaving the area, which was supposedly secured. I came back to move my remaining stuff and was again treated rudely and questioned about my choice of lock. That happened in June and have never received a call, email or any other sort of follow up.
