Had an appointment for 10:45 and waited an hour before telling them to reschedule for the same day later afternoon because they would prioritize walk-ins instead of appointments. During the afternoon I arrived at 3:15 and again waited a hour. 2 people were already there but 2 walk-ins after I arrived got to see the doctor. It used to be you wait 10mins and get help for 10-30 mins. They took up a lot of my time today
FastMed locations do not allow you to schedule an appointment. What you sign up for is a slot that will invariably be 1-2+ hours beyond your selected time. The locations have also done away with walk-in patients but nothing is mentioned about either of these things on their website. They will, however, take your copay up front so if you walk out; don't plan on getting it back without a fight or call to the bank. Made an appointment online for 11:30, their earliest available. I get there and wait 30 mins in their waiting room to even be called on while there is only 1 person in front of me. Get back to the individual rooms and the medical assistant takes my vitals maybe taking a minute or two. I wait about 25 mins for the doctor and no one has come in so I check with the medical assistant asking where the doctor is and they responded saying that they had an emergency call they'll be in shortly. Not a place to go you want to get care. Information on the website is in accurate and employees are extremely rude. You are best to go I want somewhere else and not waste your time
Avoid Covid testing in this location! I went on Monday for a rapid test. No symptoms, no exposure, fully vaccinated just wanted to test prior to heading out of town for travel. The MA who swabbed me didn't go deep up my nose so I asked about it... first red flag. I've been tested at least 5 times at another location and 3 times in other countries. This place is awful. I made an appointment. No one in the waiting room when I came in and somehow it took me over a hour and a half to be seen. I seen a few people walking around with masks under their noses (including a lab Corp rep). Staff was rude and unprofessional. Both receptionists sat on personal calls at the front desk. I went to FastMed Harrisburg NC a month ago for what turned out to be an ear infection. The service went well and I was given a prescription for my ear. A month later, after leaving multiple voicemails with their billing department, I received an email from them saying they were going to withdraw from my checking a fee that was twice as much as what is advertised. I second the other review that hates using these places when your primary is booked. I think we all prefer to see a real doctor. (I'll probably catch heat for that but you're not going to change my mind.) The front desk lady was the only decent thing. she was kinda nice. Keyword: kinda.. that's sad it's the highlight for me lol. Also I can't believe the people I saw without masks that were welcomed in.
