I made a check in appointment and it was pointless. I arrived and explained I had extreme abdominal pain, which a sign said was very serious and needed to be addressed. The front desk lady brushed off my pain and told me a lot of people were having stomach pain. It turns out I had appendicitis and had to get emergency surgery. It took over 2 hours to even be seen only to be told I needed to go to the ER. The only saving grace was the doctor who seemed to genuinely care about me. When i wasvtelling my symptoms and was asked questions i said i didnt know what was going on cause im not a doctor. The answer i got Was "im not a doctor either .im just a pa." I already had lost confidence in the place when while waiting to be seen.the pa was shopping on line and getting advice on computer deals from the man at the desk. Black friday deals need to wait till a medical building closes. Im contacting the veteran admin .about this and let them know what they paid for.

The black women working behind the counter today are extremely rude (I'm black as well) . The lady that greeted (if that's what u want to call it) me looked at me like what do u want? Then they're behind the counter complaining about their personal lives and how they don't wanna be at work today and cursing like their at home and not in a professional business setting. Well the front staff were efficient and nice enough, but don't recommend going here for stitches at least. Cut my finger tip nearly off and they would not stitch. Well, the top is still alive trying to grow together vs they said it would die. Now I am stuck still bleeding 10 days later if touch it to anything. But worst of all, they refused to see me unless it was full price because they "don't do stitches after 24 hours, but will be glad to see you at full price." Hmmmmm
Had to go to Urgent Care in Harrisburg today. Very nice clean location. Front office lady was very polite. The M.A. was extremely nice, welcoming, easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. However, to make a long story short I was seen by the provider who refused to rewrite a necessary prescription refill so that it would be covered by my insurance company. There is no point coming in to this place unless you check in online. Otherwise, you will have a long wait and anyone that has checked in online will be treated for you.
Used to be fast but not anymore. Last visit I had with my daughter took us over 2 hours to be seen and discharged. Husband is there now with our son and he's been in the waiting room over an hour - with only two patients in the waiting room before him. We'll be going to the CVS Minute Clinic across the street from now on. In and out in less than 30 minutes.

Should be called SlowMed!! Walked in with only 2 other patients here, now waiting area is full and I have been waiting for over an hour....this sucks!! Was told by lady at the front desk that even though I had insurance with no copay, I had to keep a CC on file in order to be seen. I have been here several times before including about 2 weeks ago with my daughter and have never been told that before. Your card will not be charged any additional amount until your insurance company notifies us exactly what to charge. Several other urgent care centers require you to pay the full amount of the visit at the time of service, but FastMed only requires the estimated amount you would owe and a credit card authorization.
