I was hoping to have a positive experience, but I was greatly disappointed. I ordered the family meal via Uber Eats. You select 4 meats and 4 sides in the family meal. Outside of the sausage link, none of the meat weighed as advertised. I spent over $100 and got ripped off! The ribs were supposed to be 1lbs, but they weren't. The pulled pork and brisket were supposed to be .5lbs each, but they weren't. The texas toast is just regular toasted bread. My Brussel sprouts weren't even in a container. They were literally thrown ... read more
$50 = 1 chopped brisket, 1 sliced brisket with pickles and toast and Small fries. Placed order for carry out, ready in minutes. Red flag - nothing made to order. Picked up Got home - ice cold fries, no toast with either meal (the toast is a feature with the meat on the GD plate). What a joke. Is it employee / manager laziness? Or A business just taking advantage of people? When called they had nothing to say. No apologies. Just come back and I'll give you toast. Took the food back for refund (I'm not paying $50 for cold lef... read more
First time there. Got pulled pork sandwich with baked beans & potato salad and it was really good. I had a carry out so I didn't stop and eat, but the restaurant looked pretty cool. Service was very friendly and I came in about 10 minutes before they were closing. I'll definitely be going back. Pulled pork sandwich was just delicious.
We had the best food ever! Fries, street corn, Al Capone, Brussels, and Carribean jerk chicken. Food came out fast and all of the people there were so nice! Great summer place to sit outside and eat we'll be back!
Was disappointed. They did not ask if we wanted the meat smothered in bbq sauce. Not everyone wants pickles in their food. Would be much better for everyone if they just asked
Pretty good, but was kind of disappointed as a Bib Gourmand. The barbecue sauces are delicious and really appreciate the wide selection of choices, I've the Tofu Banh Mi, which I've had done really well at other restaurants, but was dry and pretty low flavor here. The fries are good, the oreo chocolate pudding was tasty, but the banana pudding was disappointing.
Disappointed. It's expensive for what you get. I ordered the smokey brisket chili at $12 and expected at that price a large serving. It came out in maybe an 8 ounce container and that was it. I asked the manager as it was my first time there and I was unaware of the small serving size if I could exchange or upgrade it to the $14 special that included a side to fill out my meal. He said "it's on you, pal" then left. OK. I won't be back. And it's spicier than they say. It seems like they really don't care about the customer. K... read more
Federalist Pig was on a recommended list about a 10 minute walk from where I was staying in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood for what will become twice monthly work trips to DC. Walking in, the intoxicating scent wafts over the entire area. Even on a Sunday in the early evening, I waited in line for about 10 minutes - a sign of Federalist Pig's popularity. Once you've ordered, you wait for your name to be called from the side bar where the cooks are slinging out both to-go and for-here orders. I ordered a plate that all... read more
Having lived in both North Carolina and Texas, I'm a bit snobby about bbq, but this place is really solid. The wings and pork belly are quite good (especially if you love fatty meat). And while the brisket isn't quite 2fifty level, it's pretty tasty. The ribs are the one thing I've had here that are just ok - definitely on the dry side. The sauces are also excellent, especially the mustard and hot bbq sauces. Definitely a reliable place to grab a delicious meal.
